Tank
This appeared in Madison's afternoon paper: Thursday, July 20, 2006 The Capital Times Some 60 drum corps organizations from all over the nation will descend on the Madison area for competitions the week of Aug. 7, but at the moment, eight of them, four with more than 100 members, have nowhere to stay. Jeff Cox, the housing coordinator for Drum Corps International, said his ability to find housing for the corps has been complicated by the fact that high school football practice begins that same week. Some area schools that in the past offered housing and practice facilities to the drum corps are unwilling to do so this year as a result of the football schedule. (Emphasis mine) Sounds like DCI Championships could be ending a week earlier again on a permanent basis in the not-too-distant future.
