DNavis
Any news on the selections being played? Songs which will be "quoted" or played in entirety: You'll Never Walk, The Way We Were, Ballet in Brass, Slaughter on 10th Avenue, Remembrance, Rhapsody in Blue, Theme from Ice Castles, Duelling Banjoes/Star Wars Drum Solo, and the closer...oh, that's the best part...but I'm not telling...come see for yourself, or regret it forever! bass5
Believe me everyone. We are all so pumped up for this. It'll be 30 years for me since I performed for a DCI crowd. I believe it was one of the cymbal players yesteday that said he's more pumped than Barry Bonds after a visit to BALCO. We will not dissapoint! PhillyDCIMontreal
We'll be at Memorial H.S. (site of the show) on Wednesday from 9am - 4pm with a lunch break. Show at 8pm.Thursday am brass & percussion are doing a recording session in a secret, shatter-proof (hopefully) location, followed by full corps rehearsal from noon - 4pm at MATC (Madison Area Technical College). Friday rehearsal is noon - 4pm, again at MATC. Friday night I "age out" all over again - I cry just as much this time as I did 24 years ago. I'm sorry to say I will miss the Wed. gig. (Staying in Chicago for two nights, 'Wicked' and Tall Ships, before driving up to Madison on Thurs.) But will come by to see Thurs or Friday. I know Bob Amaya in the Guard. I'll be sure to look you up too Don.
