If you want to live or die by a number, be my guest. I'd rather use my own ears to judge whether or not a brassline is good or not, rather than just saying, "Oh man they got a ____ at finals, so obviously they must be ____" Besides, your perception of how judges do their jobs changes greatly once you actually march. I know it did for me.

You completely missed my point, Phantom&Phitch. I was responding to "20/20 in brass says it all", which was basically saying, "Oh a judge gave them a 20, so they're obviously the greatest brassline ever". I'm just saying to use your own rationale and judgement and not base all your opinions on what one judge says. The judge isn't the be all end all of all opinions on what a corps' performance is.

By the way, real classy and mature with the "Blah blah blah", that sure helps me take you seriously.
