While in one of the clubs, the bartender noticed my jacket and mentioned that he had friend that marched Phantom back in the 80s. Kinda cool. The bagger keeps giving me these "looks". finally he says "What years did you march Vanguard?" I told him. He had just aged-out in 99. I congratulated him on his championship. and headed out. I from time to time will wear my "Drum Corps is Evil" T-shirt to my favorite hangouts. Some people will give me a blank stare, but some have that "knowing" look/smirk. I immediately got all excited and said yes. We talked drum corps pretty much that whole night. Now i'm trying to talk him into coming to Heatwave's next rehearsal.
