The only case I've ever seen of this is from Euphonium to Baritone. Although they may ask someone to change when they audition. For example, I auditioned on trumpet, and ended up marching mello for the season. Then same thing happened with a guy I'm at school with with a different corps. I'm thinking that it would probbly be difficult to do mod-season though because the member would already have a drill spot in with their section.

Ive gone from Soprano, to mellophone in a season...

ALSO

Started on euph (to start a euph section at the corps.. and thats the only way the director would pull em out)

So Euphonium, back to mello, then to Contra for the last few weeks to fill the hornline!

NOW..

I just auditioned at Glassmen on mellophone

They have already asked me to switch to Tuba :wub:

Its not that crazy, just how good of an overall brass player you really are :wub: b**bs

I was the other way round....marched Euph in 05, couldnt afford to march in 06, but halfway through tour they called me up and offered me a euph spot. wasnt until i actually got there that they told me i was filling a trumpet spot! Ended up playing the majority of the show by finals as well!

someone i marched with in 2004 made the corps on quads, and then they decided he was too small to march them all year, and ended up filling a bari spot, and by the end of the season, was playing most of the show.
