It appears (after viewing their website photos) in 1998 and 99 they were indeed a Drum Corps and upon their reorganization they reformed as a marching band.

Thanks for the insite so far, but I'm not realy looking for Irish music, I'm realy looking for a reason to go to Ireland, and I think going to see drum corps is a good enough reason for me.

My advice? Make your way over to the bigger island for a DCUK show. It's very much like DCA Class A. And the show staff will really roll out the red carpet when they hear your Minnesotan accent.

I can tell you that when Reilly marched in the Dublin St. Patrick's Day parade in 2005, the judges had no idea what catagory to use to judge us. We didn't fit into any of their existing concepts. Suffice to say, the parade was won by an Italian Band who ran as they played - a source of much amusement to us all.

Go to Ireland for any reason. The people are wonderful to visitors, the land is beautiful and the beer is on tap.
