PR_ducky
My Chemical Romance is artist of the month on Comcast. Their new album is titled "The Black Parade" The single, "Welcome to the Black Parade" is the story of a dying patient who is ushered across into death by his fondest memory which happens to be a Marching Band his father took him to see as a child. In an interview on the making of the video the drummer for the band, Bob Bryar, mentions he was in the marching band and also Drum Corps. He is from the chicago area, anyone know who he may have marched with? Cheers.

I noticed that, but I marched Regiment and was on staff there for and still have close ties. I am sure I would have heard. Also checked the alumni directory just to be sure LOL
PR_ducky
hmmm, well after a bit more research I have found he was born in late 79 so would have aged out in 2001. Also found a reference that he marched with a Professional drum corps, so maybe Blast?

Stream of Consciousness
The other members all went to high school in Belleville, NJ & Kearny NJ(both with pretty good marching bands, especially Kearny). Toro (guitar player) grew up in Kearny and was involved in their high school music program.

Slow Adam
I don't think there has been any new "rock" put out in a long long time. A lot of today's bands are annoying, whiny, emo boy bands, like the Backstreet Boys and NSync, but with tighter pants, and black hair. I'm not sure if it's me getting old (hope not) but I really don't like a lot of the new popular music. Some of it is okay, but most is just blah. I have to say that this decade has been a let down compared to the 90's for popular rock.
