  1. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I consider myself lucky to have marched with David. A true Cadet, man and person in every sense. God Bless David. For Holy Name Shall Always Be
  2. I had the pleasure to march with David in 1986. His determination, work ethic & heart are in a world above all others. My prayers are with David & his family. For Holy Name Shall Always Be! Marc 1986 Garfield Cadets
  3. I have Connexion Quebec in 12th cause you do not get a hotter bunch of french speaking guard chicks..............ever!!!!!!!!!
  4. Very true on the Statue thing. It took away alot of rehersal time and yes, it did beat us up pretty bad. Logistics were tough.
  5. I marched Cadets that year. It was a very tough year. First off, trying to win 4 in a row was basically impossible. There was major staff turnover. We had a VERY slow start and did not even have uniforms for the first few shows. There were MAJOR rewrites during tour. The show/music actually changed a few times up until March?. Oh yeah, and then there was that Blue Devil monster
  6. Main Entry: crucial Part of Speech: adjective Definition: important Synonyms: acute, central, clamorous, climacteric, climatic, compelling, crucial, deciding, decisive, desperate, dire, essential, face off, high-priority, imperative, insistent, momentous, necessary, pivotal, pressing, searching, showdown*, touchy, urgent, vital Antonyms: incidental, inessential, insignificant, trivial, unimportant Notes: the words crucial, essential, and vital cannot be qualified (cannot be more or less...) Since when does the word crucial mean make or break?? Where did he say more important than brass, perc & guard? Stop hearing what you think you hear. Oh, then again............ oh yeah, what where they to learn from last year?? Another poor top 3 placement?
  7. Some info: Cadets were to play Prelude in 1986 & actually learned about 1/2 the music, but it got scrapped in late winter/early spring of 86.
