I thought I saw something about these corps planning mini-corps appearances this year:

St. Rita's

Latin Express

The Romeo's

and are the Govies participating in mini-corps this year?

Andybody out there from these groups, who can let us know?

The Latin Express is pleased to announce that we will be performing for our second year.

We have built on the success of last year and expanded our repertoire.

Our focus is to continue growing as a group with local performances both

Drum Corps related and private. Performance dates will be posted as they

become available.

I would like to thank the all the help we have been getting from

our extended family - The Hawthorne Caballeros, The Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni and the

American Legion post 199. Also thank you to the Drum Corps community for making us feel welcome.

More to come.

Mike are you going to play a couple of charts at the up coming "Cab party". It would be fun having you rock Post 199 Hall with a crowd in attendance instead of like you do when just rehearsing.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

The Crossmen Xtreme mini corps will be performing in full uniform on March 31st in West Chester, PA.

The Crossmen Alumni Association is excited to announce that Crossmen Xtreme will be performing at the Annual CAA Beef & Beer Scholarship Event on March 31st.

_____

The Crossmen Alumni Association will host its Annual Scholarship Event on Saturday, March 31, 2007, 7pm-11pm at the West Chester VFW Post 106, 837 Lincoln Avenue, West Chester, PA.

The Crossmen Alumni Association Scholarship Program honors the memory of two of its own who died heroically helping others. Derrick Harvey (Philadelphia Firefighter) and Joseph Kempf (a volunteer EMT). In their honor, we reward six current marching members of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the corps by their leadership and performance.

This year we will also be helping the ’06 Vets of the Crossmen continue with the corps as they move operations to Texas. We have set up a travel fund for them to ease the financial burden. In addition, contributions will also be accepted for the Pasedena Bus Fund to help the corps with their bus rental costs.

If you can't make it the Beef & Beer but would still like to help the Crossmen by making a contribution to the bus fund, you can mail your donation directly to them at "Crossmen" PO Box 591940, San Antonio, TX 78259.

Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door and only $20 for students over 21 (proper ID required). Admission will include beer, soda, coffee, food, videos, camp reports, entertainment, door prizes, and the chance to see the new Crossmen Xtreme Mini Corps before they head to Harrisburg for their first competition on April 14th.

The Crossmen Alumni Association continues its commitment making charitable contributions to the Crossmen as well as preserving its heritage for its members, past, present, and future.

Payment in advance can be mailed to:

On behalf of Nigel, the staff and membership of Crossmen Xtreme I wish to thank CAA for inviting us. This is

a singularly exciting moment for Xtreme. We have an original member on board. He was a 507 Hornet. Many of our members are alumni or have been friends of the Crossmen for many years.

Recent interest in Crossmen Xtreme has swelled our ranks with additional alumni, who would like to play with us at DCI East, then join with us in a warm-up with the 'kids' of 'Russian Christmas'. Bones will be there in force.

It is our most sincere wish that this increase in membership will be the nucleus of Crossmen Classic Drum & Bugle Corps.

If you are planning to come to Rochester for DCA Championships, registration begins April first. Check the championship site on the DCA web site. Barb is collecting any e-mail addresses from Corps that want the MINI Package. If you competed last year she has your e-mail. Write to DCAie2007 @aol.com or barbaraharing@comcast.net

Watch for a DCP article soon.

Good luck to all your ventures.
