Sunrisers Announce March 25th and April 1st Guard “Open Gym” Forums

The 2007 Sunrisers would like to invite all interested guard members to attend at least one of our two “Open Gym” guard forums in Nyack NY during March and April.

The “Open Gym” dates are

· Sunday March 25th 10AM-4PM

· Sunday April 1st 12PM-6PM

Those interested in marching in Sunrisers guard in 2007 should plan on attending at least ONE of these events.

You won’t want to miss out on the 2007 season with the Sunrisers if you’re still looking for a place to march. This year’s musical program will be designed to showcase our top-notch guard so if you’re the type that’s into powerful, colorful and exotic music with exciting choreography that’s expertly designed and presented, you will not want to pass on this opportunity.

Our 2007 Repertoire is entitled “Cirque du Soleil Se Levant” and features music from two of the most acclaimed Cirque du Soleil productions, “Quidam” and “La Nouba”, as well as original music written specifically for the 2007 edition of the Sunrisers Drum & Bugle Corps.

Visual Consultant - JOE ROCHE
- Joe joined the visual staff of the Cadets in 1987 as a Contra Tech and became visual caption head in 1989 under the mentorship of George Zingali and Marc Sylvester. In 1993 Joe Roche served as a visual consultant with the Star of Indiana drum and bugle corps and has since been involved with the activity as an adjudicator and clinician throughout the United States. Most recently Joe served on the staff of the Madison Scouts in 2004 as a visual consultant tutoring new staff members

Visual Consultant - GREG LAGOLA
- (Choreographer, Design Consultant, Costume Designer) has served on the creative team of the World Champion Cadets Drum Corps for the past 16 years. Greg also served on the design team for the World Champion Emerald Marquis winter guard from 1990 through 2001, and Miamisburg High School. In addition to instructing, Greg has designed costumes for various color guards and Drum Corps, and is currently the designer of the "Greg" collection available through Fred J. Miller. Greg received his BA in Art from the Pennsylvania State University, and an AAS from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Greg works as a design director for a major women's apparel private label manufacturer and has recently launched his own men's

This weekend -
Sunday March 25th
to be specific - is the first of two of our guard "Open Gym" rehearsals. Make this the weekend you partner with your indoor guard colleagues from the many different MAIN, WGI and other circuits, members from other outdoor guards joining us for the first time and with our returning membership to participate in what is going to be one of the Sunrisers' best seasons in a while.

Climb aboard for the trip uptown!

to our guard "Open Gym", see for yourself - and bring a Brass, Percussion or Drum Major-type friend with you! We still have openings and we only need only a few ingredients to field a powerful corps!

You forgot to mention that Greg Lagola was also in Sunrisers' guard in 1996...

the best DCA color guard to EVER take the field. I don't think any DCA guard out there has come close since then.
