SeanOwenSullivan
What about a prweviously unplayed Holsinger piece. There's so much of his work that hasn't been heard widespread but is so frickin' awesome. It would get back to their roots but with a new twist. 'Hopak Rasoliniki' would be sweet. We played that at GA Southern under the direction of Holsinger himself. I could also a piece like Claude T. Smith's 'Festival Variations' working well with the other 2 pieces. It has a very fun and jazzy feel to it like 'Blue Shades'. Robert Russell Bennett's 'Symphonic Songs for Band, mvmt 1 or 3' would work but have been done before. Saint-Saens 'Symphony No 3' (aka "Babe" the pig's theme) maybe. Cheers, Sean w/Stp:
