WYAA to host Great Lakes Shootout

Recommended Posts

The Great Lakes Shoot Out has been moved this year to Don & Nona Williams Stadium in beautiful Menomonie, WI. Just off of downtown, the stadium seats around 4000 in a new concert side only seating, astroturf field stadium. With no track to lower sight-lines, you can sit half-way up the stands and still see the whole picture and hear the smallest of units.

This year, the show is in the third Thursday of the season, giving you a chance to see some of the cleaner products.

Also, many local school districts have offered housing and practice facilities for competing units. The Menomonie Parks Department has also opened up Phelan Park, the Dunn County Rec Park, and Wakanda Park's lakeside field to units.

The WYAA would like to thank the Colfax School District, the Boyceville School District, and the Elk Mound School District for offering their schools to the corps competing in the Shoot-Out.

Schedule will be posted when it is announced.

Possible Line-Up

Explorers (DIII)

Port Washington Lights (DIII)

Storm Troopers (DII)

Sun Prairie Swingers (DII)

Ohio Valley Thunder (DI)

The Great Lakers (DI)

Post here or in your corps schedule if you are attending this event. Brats and (Root)Beer after the show for every corps in attendance.

On the sidelines, I'd imagine.

This isn't Port Huron, after all :P

There is plenty of room on the sidelines for the pit and the podium, and a judges table!!!

:)
