thebaritoneguy
Congrats to both Impulse and Fever. You were both great from what I could see this weekend. With all the holes and shows being incomplete, it's all good from here. Next weekend in So Cal will be exciting with the rest of the California Div III corps on the field. Mystikal, Gold, VK. Sure SCV beating BD is Awsome!. It's been since 1999 since we've seen the two titans go at it with tenths of a point separating them. Also we get to see Academy for the first time in Div I go up against Pac Crest, that will be interesting. What a great summer this is going to be in California!! mkcarlson
West Coast Division III is off to a good start. Concord show was great - despite the cold and wind. Impulse delivered a fine performance of "Final Fantasy VII." Although percussion heavy the corps' musical performance balanced itself out. But hats off performance goes to the very small color guard. These talented performers more than made up for their small size. Fever is back and should regain its contender abilities if not later this season then next year. They seem to have gotten away from their traditional rhythmic, impact-centric show to a more flowing, melodic style. They are continuing to maintain a special flavor of Fever visual thats served them well in the past. BDC continues to be the darlings of West Coast drum corps. These young kids are gearing up for their first DCI Finals appearance. Am sure these groups will do exceptionally well as the season progresses. MARK74
So was Fever suppose to be in Div III cause I remember them saying they were definately in Div II this year. Any reports on size? Reviews? ANYTHING! As you may know Div II/III must declare by MAY. It was evident that membership was not going to reach the numbers that were hoped for in early February. Fever had to make the decision to be a good sized Div III or a very small Div II. I think that they made the correct decision for their group, building back up to Div II more carefully , and therefore doing the right thing. dday
Any word on Stockton Buccaneers being at Sunnyvale? PS - Being a MAJOR ELP fan, I am totally in love with BDBs show this year. PPS - My friend Kimela marched 85 BD (emersons 1st concerto) and has a daughter in BDB (playing emersons 1st). Too cool, Kimmy Edited June 22, 2007 by dday

Everybody better be glad that there is no "Cute" caption - BDC would slaughter the competition. :P
