FrontierEuph Posted June 22, 2007 Share Posted June 22, 2007 (edited) All-ages drum and bugle corps comes to Dallas/Fort Worth in 'Brass Hysteria' www.brasshysteria.com Bedford, TX - Frontier Performing Arts Association (FPAA) hosts the first-ever Drum Corps Associates-sanctioned (DCA) drum & bugle corps contest in the state of Texas. Five all-age drum & bugle corps from across Texas and Louisianna will perform their 2007 shows starting at 2pm on Sunday, June 24th at Pennington Field in Bedford. The corps scheduled to appear are: Frontier (Dallas), Gulf Coast Sound (Houston), Austin Stars (Austin), Masquerade (Ruston, LA.) For the first time this drum corps season, Frontier and Gulf Coast Sound will meet in judged/scored competition. Frontier and Gulf Coast Sound will compete again in Houston on July 28th and then finally at the DCA World Championships in Rochester, NY during the first weekend in September. Also appearing at Brass Hysteria are "Inner City All-Stars", a nationally-recognized brass jazz band; and, our special guest, the 15-time national champion Hella Shrine Corps from Dallas Online ticket sales have ended. Tickets may be purchased Sunday at the stadium. Adults $10, students $5. Band directors can receive a special discount. A few years down the road it's all going to be bigger and better. And by the way, to everyone out there in DCA watch out for Frontier and Gulf Coast Sound.
