  6. I can't wait for the TOC in Chester, PA so I can see which shows have the best GE for me!
  7. I love Raub Middle School. It's so close to the stadium so it's easy to watch them practice and walk over to J.Birney Crum for the show.
  8. I saw that BD's rehearsal doesn't begin until noon and their brunch is at 11 AM. They are getting plenty of rest.
  9. Well, they are on first at the TOC event tonight so I guess they're trying to get as much rehearsal time as they can. Plus, they have 3 days off after this which is good.
  10. Right click on picture, select "copy image URL," click on the little green-ish box on the tool bar above and paste the URL into the pop-up box. That's all!
  11. Crown's guard has impressed me the last few years as well. They have a great team and the members are extremely talented. Good stuff.
  12. Awesome job, Crown. Can't wait to hear you practicing at Allentown!
  13. I've said it before and I'll say it again; some of these "themed" shows some corps put out there just don't make sense to me when I'm watching them. I don't want to have to read an overview before watching a show in hopes that I'll understand every nuance they place in it. If I can't figure it out by just watching it, then it doesn't matter if it has some deep meaning or underlying theme. If it does a good job conveying a message and it is performed well, then I'll probably like it. However, if it has no meaning but has some great music, awesome drill and color guard work, I'll like it too. Heck, I just like watching the corps practice and keep going over the same part. You know why? Because I get to get smashed in the face with a big sound (i.e. Crown) and watch their drill and color guard. I don't care if I get the whole story if there is one. I just like good MUSIC, MARCHING AND SPINNING. Show design is more than just a story or theme. I can get goosebumps or want to stand to my feet in applause just because of a cool visual element or a beautiful and powerful musical moment. It doesn't matter whether the show is about a famous movie director, an opera, DaDa or whatever. Some of these themed shows take themselves too seriously and lose connection with the audience.
  14. Wow! Third again. Cadets down in GE. They need to do something to get back up there. Glad Crown rose to the top but Cadets need to keep fighting. I hope they won't give up.
  15. No. I would love seeing that because it means more entertainment for me!
  16. For my taste, it doesn't have to have a deep storyline. Half of the "deep" shows out there don't make sense to me any way unless I've read something about it. I want to be entertained with great music, awesome drill, and great color guard work. I don't care if it comes with a deep message or not.
  17. The Power of Tr01l = l10rT fo rewoP ehT
  18. Crown's brass has certainly shown they have staying power - no joke there. Percussion has been their Achilles heel. I like seeing Crown up there. We need more good consistent competition for BD. They've had several undefeated seasons and because of that the competitive aspect gets kind of stale. Even if BD ends up winning again, at least there was competition for them.
  19. Cadets seem to be more of a top 3 than top 2 corps. They jump around in the standings year to year from winning to 5th and then 3rd and so on. The only consistent corps in the past decade seems to be BD.
