Open House in just 4 days! Can't wait till Saturday to see the Statesmen family again! Come check it out!!

I personally as calling Erie my new hometown and having marched with Empire for 4 years. This topic needs not be brought up in this forum...if you want to discuss it get your own forum. I don't feel we should be placing any blame on any person who calls Erie home and decided to march in NYS with cru or statesmen. Its everyones choice. I made the choice to march thunder for the reason that i am unable to march a high caliber statesmen drill anymore due to surgery. Everyone has a right to choose. I am all for helping to recruit for next season I know Sean and i are looking forward to having an erie corps soon for the next generation coming around. People also choose to do statesmen b/c they compete at a much higher level and would have better prepared them for DCI. All in all i think this topic needs to be dead and let the people who really care about wanting thunder are prepared to help get it going discuss this in private off the forum where it belongs this is just making the Thunder organization look petty and bad! And if you are directing this at the erie "kids" then you are directing at the Statesmen organization because they are a family and if you attack one group you're attacking them all! p.s. Most of us do realize that there were thousands of dollars spent to get things started, we don't need a guilt trip. I support my husband and any other erie "kid" for doing what they want to do and still marching after thunder folded this year! GO STATESMEN '09!!!

Looks to be a fantastic weekend in the Northeast! Hopefully we can send some sunshine your way!

A lot of these members also decided that the summer was time for a break weather there decision or their parents. Most of the members are high school age kids and they wanted a break after doing marching band and doing indoor.

This comment sickens me to the core!! its not time for a beer at all. Its time to cut our losses see what we have left and see what we need to do to ALL help each other in Erie and get a competitve field corps in Erie. I met my husband doing this activity and it sickens me to think that you have just given up on something so important in this day and age that means so much to a lot of people. I still want to march and I am all for LET going out as a mini corps we need to show that we worked our butts off. Kids want to see a product. They don't want to jump into something unknown. We need a field corps in Erie and we deserve to have one not a beer!

Enough of this other nonsense back to reality here. Rehearsal is at 12pm sharp on Sunday May 3rd at Iroquis High School. Need people in all sections to complete what is already a really awesome nucleus! Come check us out. We're sure to blow your minds!

I got my copy of the CD yesterday and listened to it when i got home form work. It was amazing I loved every minute of it. Congrats Joey!!!!

I am sorry but a third grader didn't write that. A well educated 23 year old wrote that who was very insulted to have a slam taken at the Statesmen that was very undeserved. You have a problem with that! I am not be biased towards one corps or the other i marched with the bucs and enjoyed it. I marched Statesmen and i enjoyed that also. Every drum corps is run differently and I enjoyed 2 different leadership styles. Bucs have been good the last few years but good times don't always last forever. Brigs had a great reign and all good things must come to an end eventually but who knows when that will be.

I have no clue who the heck you are but it is clear you are talking about the Statesmen in that statement. Guess what the Statesmen are a world class organization and I marched w/ the Reading buccaneers in 2004 and then went to march for the statesmen. Guess what you can bag on the statesmen all you want b/c your a bucs fan, and your high onlife after a 4peat but guess what. Every single corps in dca is differnet. We were not upset that we took third yes a brief moment of shock but i didn't see the buccaneers congratulate MBI on a well deserved 2nd place finish. We are out there to be fan favorites and statesmen are exactly that fan favorites!!! Buccs are good but i would rather be fan favorites then win any day. So i wouldn't diss a corps until you hae marched in that organization and no what exactly your talking about!!!! We don't pretned anything...we are who we are and we represent that no matter what we do!!!

Congrats Nick on not smoking anymore!!! That is a huge accomplishment! Thunder in 2 days! I can't wait I am so excited to play again. See you all there!

Only one more day till the show. Getting excited already. its going to be an amazing night with the best of the best in the line-up...can't wait to see everyone there!!

Come on out and join the Statesmen this summer! The drill, the staff, and the music is nothing short of amazing. You won't regret joining! Its going to be one magical year. I wish i could have marched this summer! But the job calls!

July 4th weekend is going to be a great weekend. The show is shaping up to be simply amazing. All you alumni be there!! Its going to be AMAZING!!!!

Ok this needs to go back to an Empire thread....not Ryan Codd thread! We all know you can't encourage Ryan his head only gets bigger and bigger and we don't want it to bust! LOL

I do have to say that was a very good picture!

The Lilac parade was amazing on Saturday and it was nice to see that the weather cooperated. it was great to put the uniform back on for maybe one of the last few times. It was also great to be in the presence of some of the greatest Statesmen alumni! Thank you guys! Ryan Codd is a little piggy and it will stick!! LOL

Can't wait for the Alumni party this weekend. Only 4 more days! I'm excited!!! Don't let Sean fool you he has no problems being sober after drinking!
