It stinks that he doesn't allow arrangements anymore. How about musical analysis? Would the Music be good for a successful show? Which corps would you see playing it? Any costumes or props that you could see going with the show?

Now that I own the cd, I was wondering what you all think about the soundtrack from War of the Worlds as it is and if it could be arranged into a successful and competitve show. I used italics because any music could be arranged into a show, I just don't know how good it would be...ala John Cage's works :P (I think the soundtrack is pretty great)

Ah, thank you. I know what SATB format is. I havn't had much experience with any TTBB pieces. In my theory class we have been going in depth on 4 part writing, but have not wandered out of SATB. Anyways, I'll see if I can find a version in TTBB.

I love Water night! One of my favorite songs ever. My list goes: Adagio for strings Sleep tied with Water night Send in the Clowns and On a Hymsong of Phillip Bliss. I'll add Lux Aurumque too. Gorgeous Harmony! All amazing pieces when played right!

wow, will they be allowed in divIII with the size limit? will they cut to stay or keep the kids and move on to div II? Either way, should be a good year for the corps.

Best BD shows in my mind too

Pioneer is a great corps. Let them have their identity. I hope that they are extremely competitive this summer. I know a great staff member that is new to their vis. team coming from my state and he is an excellent instructor. Should be a good year for the irish :) New question: What do you think about if Cavies or BD played an Irish show? Would they drop out of top 12 because it is Irish music? Would they not entertain the crowd just as much as past year's shows? Would we tell them that they need an overhaul in the design? Hmm...

Cadets should change their uni's to something completely different! Maybe keep their same layout but invert the colors for both sides of the unis.

I think it would be hard to explain why someone would dream of marching ECJ over Phantom or Corps "X" (Div 1 Top 12) for a competitive activity. If you like basketball, you usually dream about or I did, being on the Chicago Bulls(of their glory days with MJ, (Michael Jordan, not jackson, haha)). Not putting down ECJ and their members. I also think that the member should probably be a baritone player(no offense bari players). I think the physical training would be very entertaining too. I think that the talent level wouldn't have to be extremely hard to gain musically as hard as learning to be on the snare line or a rifle. Sounds like a fun idea though! I'd watch it!
