  1. Really? Hmmm. Sounds like a good reason to me.
  2. Sorry, didn't see the same question asked earlier in the thread.
  3. So what school/college will be home to the corps?? I'm guessing it will be OTP??
  4. I don't think you'll see elephants running around in costume or gerbil cages (which I thought were kind of cool) or long blonde wigs in Alliance. Jeff, Tell Terry you want to see props next year!!! LOL
  5. I was part of that madness playing mello...all 15 horns that first year. LOL. What a fun year we had. I told Terry earlier that Alliance will be the next Star of Indiana (Alliance) of DCA.
  6. We're going to miss you Annie!!! Thoughts and prayers to Bob and a Big Hug too.
  7. I didn't get to go to Rochester but was kept connected by a lot of folks. I know the corps appreciates your comments. I'm pretty sure TR will be on here once he gets back home from driving the equipment truck. As for marching with Alliance next year...I'm sure they'd enjoy having you on board.
  8. Not commenting about the topic but the emoticons are now part of my collection at work.
  9. And a move from 9th in Prelims to 8th at Finals!!! Way to go Alliance!
  10. I'd like to see all the corps Jazz Run into their final position. LOL.
  11. To the Sun Devils Drum and Bugle Corps: You guys and gals have come a long way in one year. Everyone is proud of your accomplishments. Can't wait until 2010 to see what you have in store for us.
  12. GOOOOLLLLLLDDDDD!!!! Congrats!!! Rock it tonight at Finals!!
  13. To the DCP Team: Thank you for all of your hard work today. I know we all really appreciate your dedication to making sure those of us that can't be there still feel like we are there. Oh and Congrats Alliance!!!!!
  14. AWESOME JOB...making Open Class Finals in your first year as an Open Class corps.
  15. Actually, the first year we started DCA South, Memphis Sound came to the show. I honestly don't remember but Court of Honor may have been there too. I could be wrong though. One of the other posters did reply about one thing...it's been harder to get the DCI corps down here in the South and other locations due to the difference in schedules from circuit to circuit. DCA competitions are pretty much only on weekends so lining up the DCI/DCA schedules can be difficult now with the Regionals that have been taking place the past few years in DCI.
  16. Good Luck!!! Since some of us can't be there, you all will be the next best thing for us!!!
  17. DCI has more people to work on their website and make the updates more frequently compared to the one person for DCA that updates the website, plus DCI has just a little bit more money than DCA. Overall, I'd say they have a very good relationship. Look at the new regions DCA has started and DCI evaluates the DCA corps that apply for membership and are allowed to perform at DCI shows. Not too shabby and for some of the DCA corps, the DCI shows might be their only opportunity to perform in a season. As far as the rules changes, don't exclude DCI folks as well. Personally, I'm for some of the changes and against others. Same goes for DCA people (just don't mention amps...LOL). It's a win-win for both circuits.
