Finals isn't part of the Season...
sardomus replied to sardomus's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
DCI really should get the Blue Devils to redesign their site and handle their multimedia. As much as it kills me to go to the 'blue team's' website ^_^ , they really have a hot, well-updated site. -

I almost just posted the same thing on your topic. haha! -
Finals coverage doesn't count in the DCI Season pass I guess??? A backfield webcam, no video snippets, not even a lineup to view. I can't even get the vignettes to play tonite.

That's what I would think too. I wonder if they'd title it and graphics it as the finals, for the non-drum corps crowd, and pass it off as 'finals'? -

If the end of finals gets rained out, what happens to the ESPN2 broadcast? -

Did it start raining on the Cadets tonite? The BD website blog mentions rain during their show. -

Good to have you here. Welcome to the party! -
I must have sat in front of those same yap, yap people at Giants' Stadium last weekend. I hate people like that. That's why I can't go to movies anymore, either.
-
I remember that being done once... SCV 1988 or 89 (one of the Phantom of the Opera shows), during the Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again solo (OMG I'm getting old). Perhaps it's been done since? I don't remember.

The Cubs? Is this their way of saying "We give up"? -
A good segment. It's too bad that CBS couldn't mention the ESPN2 broadcast (ESPN is partnered w/ ABC via Disney).
-
Yeah, ok, let's all pretend he didn't just say that.
-
Just saw the teaser for the segment!

Steering us back on topic... At Giants Stadium, it was, "... and there's a couple from East Rutherford, NJ!" Rolled right off the tongue.
-
That happened to us last year in NYC. I emailed DCI when I got home that night.

Jim Russo= DM God! -
I may be wrong here, but when I read the words "Maintanance Shed", it got me thinking that I've heard that term in an Allentown discussion before. Didn't DCI have a similar problem with Allentown's internet connection in a maintanance shed last year? And, if so, then what's been going on for the last 365 days?
-
Yeah, they should enjoy my money now, cause they aren't getting it next year.
-
Don't look now, but if the season ended right this minute, Crossmen make finals.
-
BK huge jump!

I suggested that to George Hopkins in an email 2 weeks ago. The great thing about Rod Serling was, it wasn't simply what he said, but how he said it.

For anyone interested, I just learned that Yowza, Yowza, Yowza was the catchphrase of bandleader Ben Bernie (1893-1943) in the 20's and 30's. But someone refresh my memory- didn't some character from a 70's sitcom use that catchphrase? I want to say Ralph Malph from Happy Days, but I'm sure I'm wrong there.
