  1. I SOOOOOO hope the Scouts, Blue Stars, and Boston crash the "g-ate". Great organizations with a very "crowd first" attitude.
  2. On a Scouts pages we had a whole bunch of old quotes (from the 70's)from a certain instructor. Unfortunately, if I were to clean them up, they would make no sense. Former Scouts from the 70's, you know who I'm referring to.
  3. This is an outrageous situation and must be dealt with immediately. Just think of the threat to the power structure if word gets out that ALL of the corps are amazingly talented, entertaining, and populated with good kids. Total collapse, that’s what I’m talking about! (agreed, best thread in a long time!)
  4. Mid 70's Madison Scouts, lots of hair nets. (Lots of hair too!)
  5. Mods This thread is based on unverified innuendo at best. Please lock it.
  6. Brothers, don't even take the bait on this one.
  7. I would say you have a point. Some of my brethren could find some better ways to express their excitement in catching up to a corps that successfully rebuilt themselves (thus providing a road map for others), and are enjoying some well deserved success. I would also say that there where quite a few nasty comments back and forth in the June 25 time frame that ALL of us should aspire to be better than.
  8. Can you please show where the comment about the Blue Stars being "done for" is? I've not seen it. If someone has said that, then they, not the Scouts organization, should be called to the mat for it, because that shouldn't be what any of us is about.
  9. Awesome! Good to hear. One shouldn't take a small sample of voices from a site like this as being representative of an oreganization. There are quite a few Blue Star alumni here in the Twin Cities. All of them that I have met are very nice folks.
  10. Which is too bad. The Blue Stars where always a classy organization in my day. And REALLY good too. I wish them nothing but success!
  11. Ahhhh, he's a Blue Star wonk. That e'splains things. It's nice to see the Blue Stars doing well again. I always liked them when we competed against them in the 70's, when Wisconsin was the drum corps capital of the world.
  12. Wow! Int isn't getting any love in this thread!
  13. There had better not be pictures from the bar afterward. We have our "reputations" to protect.
  14. Until next years Tremednous Tremendousness, It was good seeing you again! Auf Wiedersehen
  15. I saw the throw down, and it wasn’t even close. When someone asks where the timbale player is in a polka band, you know he’s in trouble. Mr. Original, please learn the difference between a concertina and an accordion. (hint, concertinas are small and used in Latin music, accordions are big in used for things like say…polkas at an Oktoberfest!) Also, it is never appropriate to yell the phrase “more cowbell” during a polka!
  16. Wouldn't be like when matter (blue) and anti-matter (Tremendous) meet? Whoa!
  17. Dear Mr. Original Box, Clearly, you are Tremendously delusional . No one gets that excited over a nice clean box (unless you are a part of said box) It’s time to stop drinking now . Be Tremendous or be square. You can't do both. Roark Blue Blast?!?
  18. Yes the Tremednous Beat-Down on the streets of LaX was inevitable. There is nothing like the polite smattering of applause when a nice, clean(ish) blue (red this year, really?) box comes down the street to get the crowd ready to throw babies when the Tremendous Tremendousness that is the Tremendous Blast follows up with the patented Morphing Tremendous Trapezoid Maneuver. It was really hard to play when all the young ladies kept running up and kissing me (thanks for the shots nice young lady in the German dress with the tremendous cleavage!). And so, with another drum corps season officially come to its inevitable end, the Tremendous Blast would like to wish ALL drum corps (and alumni band/boxes) a Tremendous off season. Tremendous, Tremendous, Oh, Oh, Tremendous! Be Tremendous, or be square! You can’t do both.
