Colts 08 ... Better than Madison?
ScoutsCaviesfan replied to luvinmydummin's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
You do realize that the people you are making fun of could be reading this garbage, right? The fat jokes about anyone in DCI corps needs to stop, it is not helpful and reflects on you in a very negative way. The Scouts color guard improved throughout the year, and while they may have not been the most dynamic guard Madison has ever had, they worked their tails off, and became a part of the reason why the Scouts made finals. :end rant: -

Didn't want to tick anyone else at this time, just trying to be funny. I actually like BD. -

DCI OnDemand video quality
ScoutsCaviesfan replied to ScoutsCaviesfan's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Thank you! I adjusted my refresh rate from 60 to 75 hertz. It may have helped a little, but it is hard to tell. The picture looks better on my 37" LCD than it does on my 17" monitor (when in full screen mode, that is). -
I just subscribed to the fan network and began watching OnDemand. In full screen mode, it is quite blurry. Do any of you experience this, and what might I try to adjust in the settings to perhaps sharpen the images? Thanks for any responses!

Thanks for your response! I don't have a router, just an exterior Clearwire modem. Could one buy a router at Best Buy and run the modem to the router, then to the computer? Does that increase download speed? Thanks again. -

Is there any way of getting the video to not be choppy? I have wireless internet and I read that is a potential problem, after I paid for the show, of course. :( -
I agree on all 3 counts, w/Academy AND Blue Stars sneaking into finals.

1. BD 2. Crown 3. Phantom 4. Cadets- I would ding their GE music score for the ridiculous amounts of babble; it's a shame that their talents are somewhat wasted with yet another strange show, they could win the whole thing with their abilities. 5. SCV 6. Cavaliers- not digging this year, kind of like the 2005 follow-up to the great 007 show in 04. 7. Bluecoats 8. Blue Knights 9. Boston Crusaders 10. Colts- my favorite Colts show, they were great! 11. Glassmen 12. The Academy 13. Blue Stars 14. Spirit from JSU 15. Madison Scouts- I really liked the show, but the competition is just that good! 16. Crossmen 17. Pacific Crest -

BEST & WORST 2007 T-SHIRT DESIGN
ScoutsCaviesfan replied to NeutralNovice's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I voted for BD's shirt, with Madison's honorable mention. I like the use of the Led Zeppelin album cover, and BD's is just plain cool. I voted for Cadets as my least favorite, as I just don't like the way it looks, too plain. Madison has a green shirt that feature the different fleur de lis' that the corps has used, which is my personal favorite and also in my closet. B) -
No hats in the pit tonight, was expecting them.
-
A lady in front of me booed loudly at the placement, a few people yelled encouraging things to the Scouts, but overall there was not a riot over their score. The crowd was very pro-Scouts and made more noise for them than anyone else, with the possible exception of SCV.

Just got back from the show. SCV is incredible and will be a factor in the championship race, IMO. I expected Madison to be dreadful based on the banter here, but I thought they were decent, and I felt as proud as ever to be a Scouts fan. The show was pretty unique, and although the sound/execution/overall design is a little less than most would like it to be, I had a great time watching it. For those who have not seen Scouts 2007, it is not as bad as it looks on paper. I was surprised that they got 5th out of 5 for a second straight night, and honestly thought they would edge out SW and PC, although I enjoyed those two shows very much as well. Spirit is deserving of the praise they are receiving, as they produce a rich sound, and march very confidently. The weather was beautiful and my family and I were very pleased with the quality of these early season shows. Keep digging Scouts!!

I'm 99.9% sure Pat is leaving on his own terms. Good luck, Pat Seidling! From the spouse of a FMM of the Sundowners.
