A friend of mine who teaches at Boston say they make between 5 and 10k a parade around the Boston area. My tickets were $50.00 each last night. Sometimes it's hard living in a fab city.

For the corps it's good. They make big bucks. I always wonder how these small towns can afford to pay big bucks for 4th of July parades for these corps.

I was at the show last night. Lynn, the city of Sin. The weather was nice but windy. There were fireworks, ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars outside the stadium were loud during the entire show. 7th Regiment-really good open corps, nice sound, good guard, sharp uniforms, very solid. Spartans-another great open corps, there guard is very good-I think their guard is bigger than the entire rest of the corps. Olympus theme is very nice. Spirit-their first major impact needs much more, guard is pretty weak, horns are nice. Boston-have a lot of work to do. Very difficult show. Animal Farm. The masks on the guard should be taken off 1/2 through the show-IMO. Bloo-Wow, goosebumps. I have never been a huge fan but this year they are my fave. Best use of props I have ever seen in a Drum Corps show. Horns are sweet, drums awesome and guard is the best they have ever been. Crown-loved them last year, not a fan this year. Horns are delish, natch but there is so much stuff on the field. The trampolines are so huge but are used very little-seems like a waste of 4 enormous props. I am sure they will do much more with them later but right now they are just meh. The guard is good, lots of ripple tosses. Cadets-cleanest corps tonight. All the music is familar and very "americana". I don't mind the "president"-he has a great voice. They have clips of the actual presidents speaking in the show which was kind of cool although hard to hear some of the words. Great drill, guard is very good and horns and drums sounded wonderful. We left Lynn surrounded by firecrackers going off in all directions, as well as ambulances, police sirens, fire trucks, and people all over the streets. There is a liquor store and check cashing place every block-all stores accept ebt cards-Oh Lynn.

Cadets ending flag work was great tonight! The DM needs to do a better job of packing his bits and pieces though.

I know this has been mentioned before but it needs to be repeated....Phantomettes are so hot!

Cavaliers get most improved since the beginning of the season. Their guard is really good.

The Scouts guard drastically changing from miltary chacter to Fosse in an instant is hilarious.

I just saw Boston's ending three times in a row!

This is so frustrating. I just saw BK do the same exact rifle toss 5 times in a row because of the skipping. And then for a minute Spirit kind of melted on my computer. thanks dci. $50.00-completely unacceptable.

Crown was amazing. I know nothing about drums but would love to see this show win. So incredible.

Jesus SCV's color guard is fricking incredible. There is no way any CG should be beating them. Of course Granny Oliviero had to have Devils ahead of them last night but she has to keep in good graces with her neighbors and brunch gals north of San Francisco.

If I got to choose which of the 40 different Coats color guard uni I would go with the plaid shirt, beret and capri shorts with yellow socks and bold green capezios.

I bet the Evil Queen puppeteers were laughed at and bullied by the Mean Girls Phantomettes.

The death of the evil queen was hilarious.

Could you imagine being told mid season you are going to be an evil queen for a big chunk of the show? Now put on this tent and walk around the field!

Are Scouts guard wearing Ugg boots. It is interesting seeing soldiers in camo doing split leaps with a huge smile.
