  1. I haven't seen everybody yet, but what the heck? It's just for fun in the "WEEK BEFORE DCA FINALS". Open Class 1. Buccaneers 2. Hurricanes 3. Minnesota Brass 4. Empire Statesmen 5. Caballeros 6. Alliance 7. Kidsgrove Scouts 8. Bushwackers 9. Renegades 10. Corpsvets Class A 1. Govenaires 2. Fusion Core 3. Grenadiers 4. Carolina Gold What do I get if I win?
  2. One Line Review Time.... Bush...Tenaciously dangerous to a few corps in Rochester. Empire... Strong performance, fun show, but how much more is left to do? Cabs... Working hard, playing with confidence, but seem to be stuck in neutral. Bucs... Outstanding show, can't help but think they have another gear left they may shift into at just the right time. Hurcs... Good jump up this year, enjoyable to watch, but stamina seems to be the Achilles heel. Cabs Alumni...
  3. I meant to say hi at Scranton when I saw you in the stands wearing your hat. A few rows from the top on the 50, right? Looked like you enjoyed the show like I did.
  4. This is a great stadium for DCA corps. I always love this show. Buccaneers 93.685 Hurricanes 91.350 Caballeros 90.825 Empire Statesmen 90.650 Bushwackers 85.650
  5. I thought the Lewisburg show was the best I have seen in years. Great exhibitions groups, great site, and strong performances by all the DCA corps. Golf claps and Booing were nowhere to be found for anyone at this show. Bad form for marching members to spew their frustrations here, although it makes for good reading while I'm at work on a Monday. I saw it this way.... Reading - but with a tighter spread, maybe 3.5? Strong show all around that gave me goosebimps many times. Great guard!! Hurcs and Cabs - coulda gone either way, although Cabs were louder/more emotional. Hurcs probably have more room to grow though. Empire not far behind Hurcs and Cabs. Show is well played, but kinda safe compared to the other 3. Not sure there's much left to do. Flying Monkeys maybe? Bush - interesting, but lacking the juice as of now. Let's see what they can do by late August. I take the safe bet that they will make finals. My friend from Chicago saw MBI at the DCI show. He's pretty familiar with DCA Northeast and thinks they will be in the hunt with the likes of Hurcs and Cabs come Labor Day, although they may be a little bit off their recent successful years. I guess we will get an idea on Saturday.
  6. After DCI Minnesota... Bluecoats 90.0 Blue Devils 89.9 Cadets 89.0 Cavaliers 88.2 Crown 88.0 Phantom Regiment 87.2 Crusaders 86.8 Vanguard 86.7 Blue Stars 85.2 Scouts 84.5 Blue Knights 83.8 Glassmen 83.0 I know that the performance order will make this unlikely for the Bluecoats, but I have a real good feeling about this show. I also see Cavies overtaking Crown, although I think the entire Top 5 will be within 2 points.
  7. Oh, my bad. I saw some of it at my buddy's place. It was still pretty cool to see though. Hope this year is even better. Wonder if DCA could ever have a Fan Network? Maybe at least highllight clips available for download?
  8. The St Peter's, MN show is on there from 6/28
  9. MBI has a long ride home where ever they go, win or lose. I see it the other way around. I'm only basing this on clips from Fan Network for MBI and a video I saw on youtube of Statesmen, so for what it's worth... MBI 86.5 ES 85.8 Gold 66.7 SD 65.0 WS 64.9
  10. Dear Ray, I think you might have a tough time satisfying your Bovine Fetish in Reading. Maybe you can take a roadtrip in the Swiss Family Fallon RV to Texas to find a nice Heffer for yourself. Just be sure to avoid the bulls.
  11. Roman, huh? Sounds like a good idea for a show this year.
  12. nice video. can't wait to hear what you are playing this year. any chance of a hint? prolly not, huh?
  13. Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me. Where troubles melt like lemon drops, Away above the chimney tops. That's where you'll find me.
  14. Troopers sunburst SCV assymetric drill Zingali Z Pull Empire goes to California
  15. Wow, that's exciting news. I wonder if Empire will be bringing in Al Chez? I think Buccs get Gino back after DCI, so that should be good too. Do the Cabs have any late season additions to their brass staff too? Renegades? MBI? A fresh set of ears can have a big impact.
  16. Surprised this poll hasn't been posted yet.
  17. Seems like all the promotion of the Boston show has really taken it's toll on the Bucknell show. This was always a big show with a great crowd. Now there is no Cabs or Empire at the show? 'Tis a shame. Seems that Mission Drums could have been put on July 25 with the western NY show, Less conflict because of distance and they could have had the top corps better split between the two shows. OT - I wonder if there is any chance of the Renegades showing up at Scranton on Aug 1? Oh My!
  18. Guess with all the "outer limit corps" doing well this year, it'll be tough to make any accurate predictions. MBI, Corpsvets, Alliance, Kilties, Renegades, probably someone cool that I don't even know about yet....these corps are going to make the top 10 a tough battle this year. I still think that Reading is a good bet to win since no one has knocked them off the top of the hill yet, but who knows So here goes... Bucs MBI Gades Hurcs ES Alliance Cabs Brigs CV Kilties Hows that for a shakeup? Probably won't happen this way, but i do excpect some surprises. BTW, thanks for all the well wishes. My job/life situation is looking a little better. Was bout ready to head to Alaska to be one of those crab fishermen that you see on World's Most Dangerous Catch. ;>
  19. Jim, If you get hit by a flag or rifle, you are out of your caption. Stick to the sheets, man!!! B)
