  1. cadets tried it last year and it didn't work. it could have been because of the distracting pink on the other side of the field.
  2. It was not that much worse than years before, just not as good.
  3. It doesn't matter how many times corps A beats corps B in a certain caption, it matters on that nights performance and the judge that happens to be there that night. If the judge never put cavies up then why shocked when he does the same thing finals night? GE Visual is not based on how clean a corps alone. Part but not all. For that you look to visual ensemble. GE is mainly how well composed the drill is, how well it helps in getting the point of the show across, and how entertaining it is. True the cavies performed very well last night, but not as well as either the cadets or blue devils. Imho I feel like their drill this year lacked the quality of the years prior. And yes I was there all three nights
  4. If you have an outdoors store, like REI or Bass Pro Shop, there are some great light weight shoes that are still comfortable. Brands like solomon and ones similar are great in my opinion. I wore them my last two years and only went through one pair each year. There are also mesh type shoes there that are great in the rain since they don't hold near as much water. In my six years those were the best shoes I had.
  5. I agree with Ashron (Adrian). i marched with the cadets for a few years and i was beat at the end of every rehearsal, and i played second mello. playing in drum corps is brutal on the chops.
  6. i know in 95 certain members of the staff wanted the entire corps in the uniforms the gaurd had. when you think about it conceptually it would greatly help getting the show concept across to the audience.
  7. umm.....what? there is nothing more important to the staff of today's drums corps than to put out a product as close to perfection as possible. why would they rehearse 8 hours a day if perfection meant nothing?
  8. the cadets always play cadillac of the skies
  9. sounds like background music at first, then the hornline takes over the melody, then back to background music. sounds nice.
  10. are we talking difficulty while playing or when not playing. it's much easier to march while not playing. i've noticed the cavaliers do their hardest drill while not playing and other corps, such as the cadets or scv, do their hardest drill while playing. for that reason i can't say that any cavies show had the hardest drill. i would say any early 90s cadets had the hardest drill. 92 and 93 wow.
  11. true. you still have to look at what happened finals night with them placing higher than boston.
  12. the whole fight club part threw me off. other than that it was good.
