  1. :) :) :) Thank you for the kind words about 90 Star. I'm proud to have been a member of that line.
  2. Star of Indiana When You Wish Upon a Star
  3. I think his last year with them was 88? He was with Star in 90 and 91. Wasn't there an "S" Pull in the 89 Cadets show?
  4. I don't know, but we were trucking. I am at the bottom point of the stars on the right side (side 2?) and taking some huge steps into the last couple of formations. She does seem to be flapping her wings pretty fast doesn't she.
  5. Sweet Sound. Thanks for the link. I was at 2003 Finals and Phantom was my absolute favorite that night. The crowd response that night was incredible.
  6. I am pretty sure the music was marked 206, but sometimes we went faster. :) I loved marching that part of the show.
  7. I can't remember exactly, but I think our closer in 1990 was at 206 bpm+. Not too sure about 91 since I missed out on that year.
  8. Hey now, be nice. Indy is usually pretty good at hosting large events. We have a brand new (huge) hotel downtown and are adding another before the new stadium is completed. Finals wouldn't be in the Dome as you know it now. The new stadium is supposed to be done by then...retractable roof...open air. The Indianapolis Star actually published a write up about the stadium with photos. See www.indystar.com, photo gallery. If you want a vacation, go to Disney World, if you want to watch drum corps, buy tickets, find your seat and sit all evening. Indy actually does have a lot to offer as far as tourism...you just have to look around. I agree. I'm a little bias, I would love to have finals in "my backyard". It make more logistical sense to try the stadium once though be fore commiting to 5 or 10 years.
  9. Awesome Star pictures from Marion. Thank you so much for posting them!
  10. I didn't pay the bills back then, but as far as I can remember, dues were $200 a year. We could pay $20 a camp and the balance by move in. As a 16 turning 17 year old daughter of a single Mom, if the dues were any more, I would not have been able to march. I would have missed out on 3 of the best years of my life. I am very proud to have been and still be a part of my Star Family.
  11. Corp - Star of Indiana Years- 88-90 Change- I would love to go back and march my last two years, 1991 and 92, and age out. It was an incredible experience to have marched in Star of Indiana.
