  1. *raises hand* Also a Twitter list with 175 people in it posting updates from the show lol. So this is what happens when I miss finals after going 8 years in a row.
  2. Almost 500 people in this thread alone, and I guarantee you they are all doing what I'm doing and hitting refresh every 30 seconds to see the latest update! Great job Kevin with the play by play and thank you Liahona for passing on all the tweets (even though I'm reading them myself too lol)
  3. That's kind of what I was thinking as well. I have the TV for it but not the sound system (yet). Still debating.
  4. I apologize if this topic has been brought up before but I figured this was the easiest way to get the info. Question for those of you who have purchased the Blu-Ray discs of Finals the past couple of years. Is it worth it? I am planning on placing my pre-order for this year's shows and am really contemplating upgrading to Blu-Ray over DVD. If last years DVD and CD's are any indication the DVD's will have all World Class corps and no Open class corps even though they made Semis. The CD has all World class and then included the Open class corps who made Semis as bonus tracks. Apparently they are offering a DVD vol. 3 which says "Featuring Open Class Finalist Corps" (which makes me wonder if it'll be the performances from Michigan City or from the Prelims in Indy) Now in order to get all of the audio and video it breaks down like this. DVD/CD Bundle - $119 DVD Vol 2. (13-25) - $39 DVD Vol 3. (Open) - $39 Total - $197 Now the Blu-Ray breakdown would be Blu-Ray (top 12) - $119 DVD Vol 2. (13-25) - $39 DVD Vol 3. (Open) - $39 CD - $29 Total - $226 So, again I ask: Is it worth it to go Blu-Ray with no bundle and pay the extra $29? It seems like it would be but I don't know about the quality of the product. Any and all feedback is welcome.
  5. Hey Liahona, don't know what method you're using to round up tweets but there's a List set up by the guy who runs the @CorpsScores account. Might make your night a little easier! https://twitter.com/#!/CorpsShows/dci-8-11-finals
  6. Sidenote to this. Be looking to these two corps during Finals retreat! Haven't been in finals together for a long time.
  7. Sioux Falls, SD Paid $16. Had to ask them to turn the volume up after Academy, they apparently missed the "Loud" concept lol. Manager came in during the delay and informed us that they had contacted the provider (Fathom entertainment or something like that?) and that it was a national delay. He said anyone who would like to leave would get a full refund but for those of us willing to stick it out he offered free refills on pop and popcorn. Can't complain, considering the show resumed not even 30 minutes later and we got to see Bluecoats and SCV at the end.
  8. Anybody else watching the theater feed notice JJ during BD's big drum break? He was doing the body work with them! It was a little hard to see because he was tucked up behind the pit, but he was literally holding up the mic to capture the sound, and doing the body work complete with the two hops to the side at the end. I started laughing, turned to my friend and said, "well I know who's winning drums tonight."
  9. Dang, if I wasn't on my phone right now I'd make one of the frozen theater feed with her in the audience!
  10. And DCI makes it up to the theater crowd by replaying Bluecoats and SCV in their entirety. Thank you DCI.
  11. Bah, you're right. I don't know why I said 09.
  12. Wow, they just showed the replay from 2010 where the Crown member broke his leg. Remember seeing that live. Glad he's back with Crown as a conductor but man, I didn't need to see that again. *edited for the correct year*
  13. Absolutely. You cannot blame DCI for mother nature. Am I upset I missed SCV? Yes, but I don't hold it against DCI.
  14. Restarted only to catch the last 20 seconds of Vanguard. So upset, love that show!
  15. Just sitting here hoping for the reset. Is the fan network feed doing the same? I would assume so. *edit* Whoops, forgot they cut the fan network feed to get people to go to the theaters.
  16. 30 Seconds to Mars has a pretty sweet techno pop/rock sound to them. Could easily see this being awesome on the field!
  17. Now knowing that this was pulled more from the chorale arrangement than the original composition I can understand what you are saying....but it still seems like you are really nit-picking just to find reasons not to like it.
  18. I honestly did not know that, but that's a big part of the argument as well. With the proper arrangement, almost anything is fair game.
  19. Uh oh....you brought out the lawyer in him! (at least if I remember correctly you're a lawyer lol)
  20. I got ya, I was just using the sources we had right in front of us.
