  1. Woo! Esprit De Corps! Funny thing is, I've recieved that award in real life.
  2. After a relaxing, restful winter, the Canton Crusaders are coming back to division II; after quite a ROUGH season 6. During the off season, I fielded a fantasy marching band "The Wildcats of Wayne County", who went on to just barely missed the semi-finals. Our 2007 program will feature all original music! Rock on! Also, if anybody has any expertise in "Uniform design", could you please give me a heads up. I can't do it! :-D -John
  3. July 20th: Joy Rd. Juice & Canton Crusaders Home Show
  4. It's unavoidable... The midwest will shortly return to Marching Art's greatness!
  5. Oh sure! I just wasn't sure about weither it was exclusive to DI. Both Joy Rd. Juice and Canton Crusaders would definatley go for a Michigan State Championship!
  6. Oh god, body bags. Those were our favorite at Plymouth-Canton. :P
  7. If any director here would like their MIDI's fully scored for Brass and/or Percussion, please let me know. I have Sibelius 3 and am able, if given information, to transfer that to instruments and set it to play as an mp3. Also, for fun, if you would drill sets written up for parts of your show *for some of your own pleasures*, please e-mail me as well. I have a copy of "Field Artist 2" so I am able to send that to you as a Microsoft Imaging File. Email me at nawsum526@gmail.com Yes, all the software is legal. :)
  8. Esprit de Corps: Canton Crusaders Gotta love that one. Never won that one before, in band or elsewhere. Hmm. Also glad to have tied with Star of Jupiter's superb drumline. That was a fun time competing with some of the big guys of FDCP-I. Glad to get the chance. Hopefully, in the future, I will be able to do the same throughout the whole season! For now, I will return to my DII status! :-D Reguards, John
  9. Hard to believe we got eighth with the entire drum line on pads and our center snare in a chime cage. Man those were awesome. I miss them.
  10. You should have Canton Crusaders (CCRU) and Cam's corps: Joy Rd. Juice. I got it all saved, if you need it again :)
  11. Both of the member corps of the C.Y.M.O. will have identical schedules this year! As explained on our website, (C.Y.M.O. Homepage), this will make logistical arrangements easier for our young organization. Even though the two corps are under the same umbrella organization, they both have different directors (in real life) and will both be performing seperate captions. This should make for an exciting season and rivalry for these two corps! We would also like to invite any interested corps to our inagural show: The 2006 Crusader Classic. Taking place on July 20th of this season, the show will be housed at the world famous Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. We would like to extend a special invitation to all D2/3 corps interested, but all corps are welcome.
  12. Just wondering, for my own interest: I know that the staff here works very hard and has their work cut out for them this season, but I was curious as to if there was an archive of past scores, and if so, where I can find them.
  13. Ha. I really enjoy the sense of humbleness that seems to hang around here. "And the Spirit of Disney Award goes to..."
  14. East Lansing on July 20th for the Crusaders Youth Music Organization (Canton Crusaders & Joy Rd. Juice)
  15. Looking at the lineup, if it could work, I would like to have a home show at Spartan Stadium. It's close enough to Detroit, and it has hosted Marching events around here before.
  16. Hmm, I go to Plymouth Canton, and we once had a DCI show here with Madison and Cavies, would the high school stadium be possible? If not thats cool.
  17. Canton Crusaders & Joy Rd. Juice would like a combined home show near Detroit.
  18. I did hear that the Skittles had a shake up in their Visual staff this past season, so I'm gonna be weary about choosing them. :P
  19. Also, if anyone is interested, I just created a website for my group: Canton Crusaders Website It's a work in progress, but I had alot of fun making it! Enjoy!
  20. Oh definatley! I played Shenendoah in a Wind Ensemble once and it was awesome. I'm thinkin that for my 3rd movement. He is truly a gifted composer.
