  1. I was introduced to mass brass back in 2000 at DCI East. All I can really say about this experience is WOW Just the power from the brass alone was amazing and the arrangement of America/O Canada was breath taking. Shenanigans from last year was terrible, but it should be no reason to end, what I feel is, a great tradition.
  2. thats sounded terrible....TERRIBLE!!! I don't care the arrangement at all and the shenanigans was just the icing on the cake. What happend was awful, but completely dumping mass brass wasn't the best answer.
  3. i LOVE this show....Go Bluecoats!!!!!! DO IT UP ZAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I LOVE slippery noodle...please drink a car bomb for me
  5. good question...didn't see PR this year. opted to go to Parade of Champions in Scranton instead of the 2nd night of DCI East, Still wish I could have done both!
  6. yeah low bras!!! wish I was watching this amazing night happen!!!
  7. Count me...bet the reasoning is, "if we stream finals live, we'll sell less tickets to the event.". My perspective is, they would make more money from all of us who aren't able to be there for whatever reason. The people who bought tickets and are attending would be regardless of a live stream on the fan network. Right now, I really miss the PBS broadcasts.
  8. I'll be checking out vids from the 70s and 80s on that site this weekend. I'll report back...
  9. forgive mre for this...to build on your pit example... I was in attendance for the DCA & American Legion show in Scranton, Pa - Parade of Champions. I honestly had no issue what so ever hearing the pit w/o amps and other electronic 'toys'. Even the Buccaneers with their very powerful brass line I could still here the pit, and it sounded good. My point..after attending the DCA show, I no longer feel amplification of the pit is needed.
  10. actually, the answer is yes. At many big universities football players receive 'comp out' tickets designated for the use of family and other loved ones. Heck even the members of the Marching Illini get two 'comp out' tickets per member for family and other loved ones for each home game. Tickets are held at will call and are distributed upon proof of id against a guest list held at will call. surprised??? I was when I first learned this -chris Penn State Blue Band alum and former intern to the athletic events office
