  1. Hmmmm, never knew Hopkins' daughter was alice....interesting . . .
  2. I agree!!! I was sooo ###### when they completely (almost as if on purpose) missed those great visual moments, I wanted all the people in the theatre to see what i had been following all season, but they missed out unfortunately
  3. May I add That this is quite possibly one of the most competitive and quality Drum Corps years ever.....Everything is so tight, so great, man i was blown away by tonights performances.....I would be happy with any combination of corps in the top 3, Kudos DCI
  4. Colts w 85???......................
  5. Ive seen hotter, granted thats her in the first place....Honorable mention :)
  6. Mandarins75.0 Colts 81.85 Spirit 83.55 Glassmen 84.80 Crown 87.77 Madison 86.0 Santa 88.60 Hot off the cell phone
  7. The original poster said something to the affect of there being a stark separation between the governing bodies of DCI and the fan base. Is it so wrong for people who have marched in years past to feel betrayed by a perversion of what their idea of drumcorps used to be? Why dont these so called governing bodies listen to what these people have to say....Im all for innovation and change, but please pay attention to these red flags people are talking about, and instead of renovating the overall idea of drumcorps from the future, base and build your ideas from the past. By doing this, we dont lose our sense of pride and arent forced to talk about "how things used to be". B.Davis
  8. Madison Scouts Santa Clara Vanguard Carolina Crown Spirit from JSU Glassmen Colts Mandarins Does Crown take SCV...does madison take glassmen? Spirit workin their way up?
  9. Through imperical evidence....hehe jk.....Capital Regiment Man.....Just like Blue stars, Cap Reg has sooo much to prove....I think in the end this group will win it with heart....Im lookin at these scores and Cap Reg is really improving in all areas...The drum line is sitting 12-13....color guard 12-13....they have takin the lead over blue stars by almost a point....plus, this show is a show that will take them all the way through finals night without leveling out, and i think thats the biggest issue...Im pulling for Capital....and thats the bottom line :)
  10. The Southeastern Championship stream isnt showing up for me?
  11. For those of you who marched corps and were incredibly motivated to go to college, earn a music degree, and happily teach music for the rest of your life..... Was it worth it? would you have chosen a different path based on where you are now...Not only Emotionally, but financially as well?
  12. Delusional eh? ill let that slide........ Judging is subjective, and my point is the fact that it devastates morale sometimes......And i feel sorry for the hard work the kids and staff put in that doesnt get recongnized in the lower ranks.....
  13. CR has a top 12 show......They had one in 04 as well.....Disagree?
  14. Sorry you feel that way...I guess its just me speaking from first hand experience....Everyone knows its true, accept for the corps that have been around for 30+ years and dont get the short end of the stick nearly as much
  15. Yeah...sounds like its more of a credibility issue for individual judges rather than actual performance factors......Ohhhhh it ticks me off....I marched CR 04 and know how hard we worked to set future shows up for success, attempt to build "credibility"...its a shame
  16. For those of you who have marched and seen judging become wacko, You know how much it hurts to get an inflated score only to be dropped down by 4-5 points for the next week...Poor cap reg with a 76 now gettin jacked up...Confidence gets a real kick when this happens.....
  17. Im not sure if you noticed..but cap reg recieved a 76.0 with colts coming in at 74.9......Even with the averaged scores, cap reg is just at 1 point behind colts....The thing that makes this show special is the fact that It wont level off at any time during the course of the season....Its a platform that will continue to grow all the way through finals week.....Drum line is doing well also....sitting 12th place, less than a point behind crown, boston, and glassmen....These guys are for real this year
  18. Cap Reg is improving very dramatically....It looks to me as if those kids have made a decision to turn on the after burners....Im looking at scores and they are sitting right around 12th......The show is very difficult from a timing stand point and i think things are looking up for Cap Reg right now because they have decided to commit to their technique, both marching and musically....I see Cap Reg taking 12th for sure this year....Good Luck guys
  19. judging by the rate of growth, im going with cap reg....they have a killer concept, great staff, and a show that only has the sky as the limit.... CAPITAL REGIMENT
  20. Youre right, Musicality doesnt have anything to do with drill, but it has much to do with technique and execution of technique which leads me to believe that BD couldnt pull off a cavies drill package with the sound that they produce with a standard BD drill pacakage.....
  21. Judging by the performance I saw first hand last night, The bluecoats should be taken seriously...but then again, consistency is key when it comes to top 5
  22. It seems to me that up until the mid 90s, corps sacrificed musicality for marching design, or marching design for musicality.... I feel that the Cavaliers have bridged that gap through introduction of a good marching technique....Just my opinion :)
  23. Sure, it could handle it, but it would sacrifice musicality most definately
  24. Sure........well, potential means nothing without hardwork, but the Bluecoats have the platform to take them where they want to be...I see you marched Colts....They surprised me last night! Great show design, great balanced brass sound....
