Neat story came from the Academy tonight originally they were not coming up to this show due to wanting to save some money before leaving for a full tour, but a couple from New Mexico stepped up and paid full 2 days of tour so the corps could come up for the New Mexico fans. It is just what I heard when they said it at the show. This is why I love the activity.

Just to answer a few questions, last years show was at the University of New Mexico but do to the field getting new turf they moved it to this this HS. In 2009-10 it was at Rio Rancho HS. Academy show did feel really short. The reason the show took so long is due to only four corps performing each one did a little encore. The show was jammed with people in the smaller stadium. Every time I talk to someone involved in the Pioneer organization about the successes this year or even see it on the internet I get a huge smile on my face, because I know I was part of laying down that foundation with many others in pervious year, and it is about time the kids feel what hard work can do for you, I have a gut feeling that something special is going to happen for them this year whether is beating one corps or making it so semifinals or something else I just feel real good about it. Please do not get me wrong, during my time at Pioneer we did not let some guys in green shirts dictate how our summer would be for us, as long as we get “Better Every Day” that is all that mattered. We did the best show we could do is all that matter to the kids and the staff. I want to personally thank Donny Allen, Tandy Gourd and Steve West (Steve-o). For making my time at Pioneer the best time of my life and being people that I could always turn to for help or really anything. All three of them are with Pioneer this year and I know they have big hand into how successful this start to the season has been. I know the whole staff this year will lead Pioneer to greatness…….

I just got done Watching SCV's Vis rehearsal. Also, I was all at Troopers and BK rehearsal last night. I will be at the show today!

Good jump for Pioneer, cut the gap in half form the other night, wishing i would have been smaller, but still better then 10 point gap. I miss my students I will see them on Sat at the dome and can't wait. Man am I ready to jump back on tour been away for 5 days.

It is not in our your tour book but give the Corps office a call (414) 327-2847 they sould have the info there or can get it to you.

I know people look at a lot at the scores. But I tell the Students I teach at Pioneer " Don't let the Green Shirts tell you how your summer will turn out, only you, your bothers and sisters around you hold the key to a successfully summer." If you would have seen these students the first few days of every days and saw them now, you would not think this was the same group of students. They have come so far as a drum corps. This is the hardest working corps I have ever been around.

I had to take a week off, or I would be with Pioneer right now, I am just wondering why thier score is not going up. They improved so much last week and to see a scoring droping makes me wonder whats going on........

How was the crowed?

I am really bummed. The last week, durring there 5 days with out a show, Pioneer added some stuff to the show, to make it better and their score goes down two points, wonder what happend. Can't wait to jump back on tour at the SA show. Needded to take a few days off from tour for family things.

The school layout is huge, whatever corp got to stay there, I bet lucked out. Their are a ton of fields to practice on. Also, the Band practice field is black top that is tucked away in the corner of the school and(it is only a practice field not a parking lot so it was nice to have a field to call our own) has a tall scafalding for caption heads.
