  1. Just curious, do you not like the whole uni or is it the hats. I personally loved their look when they had the current unis and the aussie style hats. I am not a big fan of it now though either.
  2. Totally agree, from experience I have worked with corps that one member will tell you that they didn't get fed well, while another member will tell you that some of the best food (and largest quantities of food) they had in their lives were while on tour. So while a some may not appreciate there are others that do, you cannot please them all. And sadly enough, we all remember the bad times and good times more than the normal times, having food for them was the normal times that kids will probably not fully remember, yet they will remember the times they did not have food. So as Steff said, even though they may not say it to you, you were and are appreciated and don't let this ruin your feelings about Drum Corps.
  3. I used to feel the same until I worked with a drum corps who encouraged their kids to go out and purchase merchandise from other corps. The director told the kids that corps rely on the sale of their merchandise to help pay for things and that they need to support all corps not just their own. I totally changed my opinion and thought it was very noble of that director to encourage that attitude.
  4. Plus Pioneer & Blue Stars, Indy is not near as close as Madison to those corps, but not as far as other Championship locations would be. (And closer for them two than it would be for Cadets) Edit: Sorry Liam, I was posting mine when you posted yours.
  5. "but all things equal, wholesome trumps dark themes in DCI...been that way for a while" I guess that is why in '96 a dark show from Phantom and a Gangster show from Blue Devils tied for first over the wholesome western show from Cadets.
  6. Hang on a second Dave, my original post to all of this was to the person wondering why everyone was getting ticked off for posting his or her opinions. I do not have any problems with anyone posting opinions, what I have a problem with is people posting time and time again like they are the only ones correct and after anyone else post their opinions, these same people get on here and tell that person why they are wrong (NUMEROUS TIMES) and then wonder why some people are getting ticked off at them. That is all, case closed. I am really not listening to myself by posting this and to keep it going, just proves my point.
  7. Did you HAVE to say it so many times? Why? That is my point. I can understand stating you hate a show once or maybe twice, but numerous times. Do you like to read your own writting or something? Not to be mean but come on. And yes you may not be bashing your own corps, but you were bashing that show if you stated it numerous times. And the opposite is a problem too, I will not deny that. But does the opposite hurt the kids that worked hard on that show, no I don't think so, so most of the time it is overlooked. I am not saying that is right, but you usually do not tick a lot of people off if you state numerous times that you love something.
  8. From my point of view, I do not think you are a basher for not liking the show, that is fine. I for one love the show this year and that is my opinion. What I am getting tired of and getting ticked off about, is the same post over and over about hating the Cadets show. That is the major problem and each post seems to be a lot of the same people saying it. I am not aiming this at you, I just choose to use your post as a reference. When someone gets on here with post after post about hating the show, then that becomes bashing. (I am not saying you are doing this) This goes out to all of the haters on here, if you do not like the show, fine, post that you do not like the show, but please keep it to a minimum, one or two post is ok, more then that are you are just out to tick people off.
