  1. Ok, I'm not a percussionist, but definitely bring your practice stuff (pad, sticks, and whatnot). And definitely bring a good attitude. While your at it, bring some good chops. The staff is nice, but they won't cut you any slack. The percussion staff is definitely known for that. In conclusion, come prepared and ready to give it your all. I guess you usually get a spot with that... P.S, like everyone else said, don't be cocky, but don't put yourself down. Be cool and confident.
  2. I do, methinks. My favorite features..... Phantom's Flower Duet Firebird's insane jazz running + mello runs Cadets trumpet double tonguing. First time I heard it, I just was in awe. Crown's upper brass runs (can't recall where, but it's in the first 3 or 4 minutes)
  3. No, I believe this was only her first year as a tech.
  4. samurai sword drill shape. plus the "sword" that the guard member holds up is fake, not sharp at all.
  5. Honestly, i can see a samurai sword around the 50, with a color guard member sticking a "sword" up into the air at a halt. This is all dramatic pause and an ending.
  6. Bluecoats. It's not my top favorite, but it's something I could listen to over and over again and not get tired of it.
  7. w/Stp: Also, Phantom's first hit. It is worthy of gods!
  8. I have a question. Does anyone know of any buses (sp?) that go cross country from NY or NJ that go to Illinois? I really want a shot at auditioning for Cavs this year, but unless I have someway of getting there, it isn't going to happen. Edit: Actually, is there a bus that goes from here to Atlanta?
  9. New corps wins it, not the "top 3". And no , ties don't count. Academy makes finals. Bloo gets medal :) Cadets pull of a very lyrical, beautiful show. (07 was enough excitement to last me a long time B) )
  10. to get into shows for Finals week :) still have mine right there next to my tv....right next to my finalist medal. :)
  11. Just audition. Personally, even if they go to world class, they'll be trying to get all the hornline members they can. Lower placing world class corps aren't exactly going to cut 10 people because they can't play a certain thing. Improvement is just as much as an audition "material" as musicianship is. That is be true because BAC is big on the visual part of drum corps.
  12. Either way, that is a very nice price.
  13. Last year, the Cavaliers rookie price was $1750, IIRC. This didn't include spring training and uniform accessories fee. The price went down 100 dollars each year you marched until 5th year. Then it was the same.
  14. The first hit was spectacular! Great sound! b**bs b**bs b**bs Honorable mention: The chord in the ballad when they did the Bottle Dance bit.
