  1. I would just like to see females having the opportunity to join them.
  2. OK. When I want to hang out with the dudes, I'll go grab a beer with them and watch the game. However, when performing or preparing for a performance, gender is the last thing on my mind when thinking about my fellow members.
  3. When I watch The Cavaliers or Scouts I see a group of performers. I rarely think about them being all-male. Why can't people move past this simplistic view of gender?
  4. Come on Big Dog. Why can't we just be people. And make music together and make memories together. Why can't the Cavaliers and Scouts create an all-people tradition?
  5. Durrrr I'm a boy and you're a girl. You can't be in my corps because we have a tradition of only allowing boys. Okay, okay, I know that there was this whole movement that made the world realize that women are just as good at things as men. And I know that the whole boy tradition started because of the male dominance in our society back then. Still, having a ##### counts for something. And, by God, even if this tradition is kind of stupid based on the perspective we now have of the world and society, we're going to keep it. ######.
  6. Dear Kamarag and Drumcat, I realize this may be hard for you to understand, but I was adding onto Hopkins' sarcasm in his blog post. There are people on this board who will jump to insult Hopkins for anything. I was poking fun at these people who hate Hopkins and what he stands for. That is the context.
  7. In his latest blog entry, George Hopkins writes that he is considering using a skateboarding bulldog in next year's show. This is just another example of him making a mockery out of drum corps. This man is a real scorpion. A punch in the ovary!
  8. I'll tell you what would be really funny: if your first name was Mike.
  9. I don't know what you're talking about because i didn't see their show.
  10. back in my marching days a judge once said that reminds me of celery.
