  1. It's the plot of the Percussion judges to revolt and backlash on GE judges having too much power (sarcasm and humor obviously)..... It's the percussion judges way of posting in the roundabout 'discussion' that comes up every other day in the Music vs Visual thread.
  2. Obviously not... I don't think the Scouts guard "tribal leader" could put two coherent words together, let alone make a complete sentence. Or maybe he was too into his tribal character and was actually speaking in full sentences but in his tribal tongue.
  3. Then again I just turned on the TV and found out the White Sox game was in a rain delay and a huge storm passed through Chicago about the same time...I suppose that was a reason. Nothing like a sold out theatre in Chicago though and people sitting in the dark for a good 5 minutes. Was kind of funny because it was an awkward dead silence for the entire time and no one moved hoping it would just pop back up.
  4. Was it just in Chicago or did everyone else at the Cinnecasts satellite connection go out during Madison??? Missed a good 5 minutes of the show, and then everything came back on with about 30 seconds left in the closer.
  5. Don't feel so bad...I'll be going to the one in Woodridge tonight and I don't get off of work until 5:30 tonight, so rushing from Addison to catch the rest of the show...hoping to get there by 6:20 for Colts and staying till the end. Then I'll be busting to Madison after work tomorrow to catch the rest of Semis and all of Finals Saturday :)
  6. Skyboxes are not on the concert side of the stadium..so no they will not be available for finals.
  7. at least wish it to be a day farther along in the week...like Thursday or Friday and not backwards...bad enough I have to wait until tomorrow for Quarters b**bs
  8. I & E was today.... Just got a call in saying SCV won Cymbal Ensamble over the Colts by a point... only one I know of because of family in the Colts Cymbal line.
  9. 22 rows..... http://uwbadgers.com/facilities/camp_randa...aspx?section=FF For everyone else's seats..... http://uwbadgers.com/facilities/camp_randa...hart/index.aspx ... for the second link click on your section and get a view from it and see how many rows
  10. There are a bunch of places within two Blocks of Camp Randall. Michael Boo already pointed out Taco John's. Also a Subway inside of the Regent Apartments. The Stadium Bar is on Randall/Monroe...Luedke's is on Regent just across from Subway. Topper's Pizza is on the corner of Regent/Randall.. Even better pizza place is on Regent/Monroe (I think it's California Pizza Kitchen, but I am blanking on the name now)... Rocky Rocco's is on Regent just east of Stadium....McDonald's is about three blocks east of the Stadium. That's all I can remember now. or those are at least the places I frequented most often about 1 am in the good ol' college days.
  11. Wins it when the put the finishing touches on the last 30 seconds on the closer....there were already big changes last night in Naperville that were not int he show in Atlanta. Corps ended in a tightly packed chevron just off of the 50 last night... can guess what that is turning into. And of couse you know the crab walk will be thrown in there too before the 360 turn IMO.
  12. That is the quickest way.... Without an I-pass there are about 5 tolls between O'Hare and Madison with each toll just under a dollar...should take you somewhere around 2 hrs 15 minutes.
  13. What time are you planning on going through Chicago?? Do it after 8 pm or before 7 am. If you want to go through the city I suggest shoot up all the way to the Chicago Skyway and hit 90/94. Of course there is the monster Dan Ryan construction right now so if you plan on going through there +/- three hours of rush hour, good luck. Then again coming 294 westbound from Indiana is just as ugly with the construction. But if you do the 294 route...go 294 to 290 West, which will take you right back to 90 in Schaumburg. Go through the city during non-peak hours if at all possible.
  14. In the end of Mahler they do pull off Elsa, then they do the left leg click and go into the triangle. As of Atlanta they only did a small run in the wedge and the 'snap-turn-360' so I really wouldn't be surprised to see that turn into the crabwalk. Why wouldn't they throw everything out there. 50th anniversary and only a point (give or take what scores will say in 20 minutes in Allentown behind Cavies). If they do that they will have the entire crowd standing the last 30 seconds of their show
  15. This was from an article after the 2004 finals in Denver.... http://www.dci.org/news/news.cfm?news_id=4...71-59edaff434e5 1995, Buffalo: 19,100 1996, Orlando: 13,771 1997, Orlando: 13,773 1998, Orlando: 12,693 1999, Madison: 19,931 2000, College Park: 18,423 2001, Buffalo: 16,406 2002, Madison: 20,230 2003, Orlando: 18,865 2004, Denver: 22,047
  16. Unfortunately the UW Athletics website isn't as good as I remember it being. They used to have pictures of each section before they renovated the stadium in 2004. To answer everyones questions...the field turf has been there since 2004 and here is a better link of where the end zone lines are and how E is a little off center of the 50 yard line. Just keep clicking on the seating chart to the pdf file. http://uwbadgers.com/facilities/camp_randall/index.aspx As for seatbacks, just hope you are sitting in a season-ticket holders seat who has paid the extra $$ to put those there. Even those in some of the nose-bleeds have them.
  17. I'm coming from Chicago...hopping in the car after work tomorrow and driving through the night! I love how my body thrives for crazy drum corps weekends!
  18. Besides Ave, my favorite part is the few bars of Elsa's that is snuck in the closer!! And now after throwing in parts of the 2003 closer in at San Antonio I can only imagine what gets pulled out in Madison!
  19. Also some construction if you exit on Park St just before you make the turn to Regent Street just 4 blocks east of Camp Randall on the eastern edge of campus. Re-paving the road there...
  20. Phantom's...seen them twice with Sparticus, Cannon in D, New World, and Elsa!!!! Saw it in Rockford too, talk about getting the chills Colt's... FREEBIRD!!!!!!! kids get so into it and so did the crowd... plus a slight family bias with a brother marching there
  21. It's not technicaly going to be in a dome. The finals would NOT be in the RCA Dome, it would be in the new Colts stadium they are building. If anyone went to Indy they noticed the pain in the butt parking issues because of them putting it up. It's a retractable roof dome that they will have OPEN for finals. Supposedly it is built with acoustics in mind for the times when BOA has their championships there too. Also will be the first major event in the new dome, even before a Colts pre-season football game.
  22. ABB...Anywhere but Boston Especially after they sent a bunch of "ushers," more or less some poor high school kids up into the stands half way during the Blue Knights Finals performace yelling at everyone to evacuate the stadium because of the threat of a storm 30 miles away. I know, I know safety first...but they made the upper deck clear out for the last minute or so of BK's show... Ok enough on that rant... But through some sources on Tour a few weeks ago the Indy deal seems pretty set and will be there for a long time
  23. Place Corps Score DIVISION I 1 Blue Devils 90.550 2 Phantom Regiment 88.000 3 Madison Scouts 83.850 4 Blue Knights 83.200 5 Glassmen 81.600 6 Crossmen 77.300 7 Colts 76.850 8 Southwind 71.000 9 Seattle Cascades 68.000 10 Esperanza 65.900
  24. you would think with 250+ people in the room the 99 bottles of beer would go a lot faster...you all better practice those drinking skills before you head to Mad-town B)
