  1. Didn't expect this to be there. Well, actually, I lie, I kinda do, what with the new VK...
  2. My friend didn't take this picture, he found it online. But apparently, there are two buses in the Antelope Valley.
  3. I was surfing around my video game clan message board, when I found this in the wallpaper thread! Is that what I think it is? The Velvet Knights tour bus? He said he found it in the Mojave Desert. I'm asking him if he happens to have any GPS coordinates.
  4. Jeez, getting in-depth with our score! I suppose you kicked out the judge that sliced our score in half?
  5. Sorry, forgot to mention that one of our drummers smacked an on-field judge with a drumstick during our Prelims performance. He apparently is one of the lead judges at this competition.
  6. CLARKSVILLE, TN - The Clarksville Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps has released part of it's first song, Before the War, in audio form for people to listen to. http://media.putfile.com/Before-the-War-audio Please note that this is in it's Alpha form, and the song as portrayed here is not going to be final.
  7. You gonna make a Div III corps? Like I said in the other thread, C.G. had fun competing with you last season in Div I, and we want to compete against you again, but we're in Div III. :(
  8. Can't wait to see the show! Had fun competing against you in DCPI VII.
  9. CLARKSVILLE, TN - The Clarksville Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps, after the Corps director discussed it with his most trusted staff member, has decided to move down to Division 3, after a very tough first season in Division 1. "We hope to stay in Division 3 for a few more seasons before moving up to Division 2, then finally back into Division 1," said Corps Director Phillip Alter, "and we hope we'll have more luck with the judges in Division 3." Despite a very disheartening 31st place in Division 1 Preliminaries, their star Tenor drums player, Markus Demigotchi, will still be with the Corps. "I just can't leave a Corps I've been with since the beginning, it's like ditching a project you've been working on for years because you've hit a minor snag." Demigotchi told reporters. In other related news, Clarksville Guardians has also announced it's DCPI 8 show, "The Rise and Fall of Sparta". More information on this subject will be released as received.
  10. Hmm, the judges don't like the Clarksville Guardians apparently. Nearly dropped a point overall.
  11. I've noticed an error on the Jan. 15th scores... You put Elizabeth PA's caption winners in Menomonie WI's caption winners spot...AKA, there's no Menomonie WI caption winners.
  12. As much of an effort that Clarksville Guardians put forth, it apparently wasn't enough. We'll work harder to make ourselves better!
  13. Uh, yeah, sorry about that. :P 15 years? I'm just planning on 4 or 5 years to get a feeling of C++/C#, then after that I plan on going to Full Sail ( www.fullsail.com ) and getting an education in Game Development: Graphic Engine Programmer, Junior Programmer, Lead Programmer, Senior Scripting Programmer, AI Programmer or Support Programmer. Yeah, I've spread my future pretty far. After Full Sail, I'll probably just head for a game that needs a programmer's help.
  14. I don't know why Tekneek is so uptight about this. Yes, it was one of my dreams to become a Drum Corps member...but I've had a dream to join the Military since I was aged 3 or 4, Drum Corps only within the past 3 years. I'm not going to hold off enlistment, I'm not going to try to stop my enlistment. I'm steadfast in my dream of the military, and it's gonna stay that way. Someone mentioned DCA...very good idea, didn't think of that. :P Kudos to you. EDIT: EMStar85, I'm not in the DEP yet, I just recently turned 17 (December 12th, actually), so I haven't had a chance yet. My score on the ASVAB was 68, and I'm trying to go for Computer Systems Programming. Also, I'm going to have enough AFJROTC years under my belt to join the AF as a Senior Airman. Woot.
  15. Good news first! I made it into Southwind! Woo! Very bad news! I can't go to any more Southwind camps...ever. No time and no money this year, and next year I'll be off to Air Force boot camp...and by the time I get out of the Air Force I'll be too old to do Drum Corps. That's one of my dreams crushed. :( Well...guess its back to full-time fan.
  16. I'm actually working on writing the show...I have like...the first 15 measures of White done. Sorta kinda hard working on Drum Corps music when you have other Drum Corps music stuck in your head (Note: 1978 Phantom Regiment does not need to be played in my head 310 times). Here's a short MP3 of what I have so far: http://media.putfile.com/Unfinished-Versio...2007-Off-season
  17. The Clarksville Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps is proud to announce the DCP-I 7 show... 2007 Show - Spectrum Selections: White Orange Blue Black White The opening piece of the show, White is the emotionless color. This represents how, at the beginning of the show, there is no particular mood. Nearly emotionless...lifeless. Orange The second piece of the show, Orange is often known as the color of stimulation. The crowd will notice that the music is progressing from a boring, slow, "colorless" piece of music to a jazzy-type piece. There are various solos here, including a very intimidating tenor solo played by our star tenor player Markus 'Demi-God' Demigotchi. Blue The Ballad of the show, Blue is often known as the color of depression. This piece looks and sounds to be evil when it starts, complete with jazzy-sounding split partials but soon gets slower and more beautiful. This represents the transition between Orange and Blue. Fans will be drawn into powerful chords and beautiful overtones as this song progresses. Black The Closer, Black is viewed as the color of harassment. The closing piece awakens those who slept during the Ballad with a loud, obnoxious note played by every instrumental player on the field. This song is meant in every shape and form to be evil, and the crowd can tell right from the start. Corps Members are now wearing evil-looking masks, which they have mysteriously received during the show. The electric tape on the snare sticks went from white to black. Fans are immediately drawn into a song with emotions, a song that is the complete opposite of White. For more information, visit http://www.freewebs.com/clarksvilleguardians/ . The Clarksville Guardians is a new comer to the DCP-I scene, this being their first season they're going to compete in. The Clarksville Guardians would like to wish everyone good luck this season!
