  1. Because I march one, G. And I love it.
  2. I think the proposal should allow for volunteers. But if it does have to use members, then treat it like a GWAR concert. Dress them up as some stupid celebrity, and have a giant monster eat them. That or burning at the stake or crucification. What about a proposal for torture? There could be an asian-themed show with someone at the front getting chinese water torture.
  3. What about P/Rs? I fancy the Olds Ultratone 2.
  4. Filled it out a couple days ago. Very good of them to do this. Hope it truely helps to see some good come out of it.
  5. Frontier Cadets? Sweet! That's some thinkin on the education front! See ya at BH.
  6. That's good to hear! Keep it up, Stars!
  7. Yup. Everyone that has come over to see 'em has gotten a kick out of 'em. Thanks again, Craig!
  8. Hahaha, thats amazing! I've messed around a bit on my baris, and I got "Planet Krypton (Superman)" out of them. Its just cool to just play on a horn all day long.
  9. Awesome. Good Luck, and "Don't Suck", Phantom!
  10. I'll have to make an effort this year to see y'all.
  11. People, I cannot stress enough how excited I am about the Texas Kingsmen. When this was first announced to us at GCS, it was met with great enthusiasm. I'd be willing to do anything to help TXK out, just to see it come to fruition. I think I am crazy enough that if I had the resources and the know-how, I'd step up and be the director. However, I don't think I'm there at all. Thus, my tenure at GCS continues. Please, if you have the gumption, resources, know-how, and the insanity that pretty much ALL corps directors posess, then strongly consider this. There are lots of kids/students wanting this to happen. And it is an exellent opportunity to show the drum corps world what else Texas has to offer.
  12. Could you help me as well? I gots me one of them one valved sops, and a tenor and bass bari! Congrats, Teal Sound guy. Welcome to the club.
  13. I know, but what I was asking was if they were G/F or G/D. They made 'em different before that 2nd valve came around.
  14. I'm just not a fan of Sousaphones anymore. If I had my way with a high school band, they'd be playing Contra-style tubas. But in a perfect world, I'd form that group into a corps
  15. I got my Getzen Contra (not tuba) for about $150, I don't see any sense in asking for more than that. As for the others, I don't know.
  16. I just tested them again, and from G, they go down a perfect 4th.
  17. Correction: The Bass Bari is a Titleist, the Bari is a Slingerland, and the Sop is a W.F.L. Drum Co. from Chicago, Il. And I think they are G/D horns. But as soon as I can post pics up, I'll do that, and let y'all pick 'em apart :)
  18. I recently got 3 of 'em, a Sop, a Bari and a Bass Bari. All are G Getzen Titleists with 1 valve. Anyone know if for sure they are G-D horns, or if they are different?
  19. Josh, I told you all this before. But you seem to be working under pressure. Just be sure you have a backup plan with playing (even with what has been said here) when the pressure system starts to faulter.
  20. I've been trolling these forums for a while. And since when did you get a computer?
