  1. Maybe its because I am a cyclist myself, and watch the Tour every year, so I guess I just must have been amused on a personal level.
  2. THE BLUE STARS!!!!!! I saw them in A-town and they blew me away with their creativity! Le tour de france, could have been a flop for a show, but in my mind it had to be one of themost, if not the most creative show out there!! Handle bar flag poles!? How can you compare to that. Making a bicycle out of a flag pole and wheels? Common, this is a big deal! The crowd loved them! Oh and whoever designed their show  Let me hear what you think of their show, I personally think it should be placed higher, at least one spot higher Oh and that Disney thing, should they contend for that as well? EDIT: Disney Sentence.
  3. John I contacted you via email, and am looking forward to hearing from you.
  4. Food stand? Oh thats a disappointment, I just thought from the schedule on their website.... Thu 7 Pats vs Ravens Fri 22 Pats vs Eagles Sat 30 Revs vs LA Galaxy September Sun 7 Pats vs Chiefs Sun 21 Pats vs Dolphins Sat 27 Revs vs Columbus Crew October Sat 4 Revs vs Real Salt Lake Mon 20 Pats vs Broncos Sun 26 Pats vs Rams November Sun 9 Pats vs Bills Thu 13 Pats vs Jets Sun 30 Pats vs Steelers December Sun 21 Pats vs Cardinals Thats just food stand?
  5. After seeing every corps this weekend I have a pretty good Idea 12) Madison 11) Blue Knights 10) Blue Stars 9) Glassmen 8) Boston Crusaders 7) Bluecoats 6) Vanguard 5) Cadets 4) Crown 3) Cavaliers 2) Blue Devils 1) Phantom Regiment
  6. I need an independent winter guard, but none are all that close to me. I want a winter guard that will train me right, I want to march for Phantom Regiment come next year (outdoor). But I have nothing for the winter to much, sitao is about an hour and a half away from me, same with the classics, blessed sacrament is do able i suppose, but its still a 5 hour drive. So with rising gas prices, and of course school, can't forget about education, how can I march one?
  7. the crusaders usually do something for the patriots
  8. Tonight and the ending was beyond epic, I and the rest of the crowd were on their feet for the last minute and a half cheering.
  9. my bad, i should have said ponchos, you know, umbrellas just might obstruct some peoples views.
  10. 50% chance of rain, the hour by hour has every hour until 10 o'clock with a chance of thunderstorms.... Come prepared.
  11. As much as I'd love to see someone from Saturday win it, I believe that either BD or Cavies have it wrapped up, I'll find this tonight after the show, and I'll let you know.
  12. Will tonight's scores, performances and placing affect tomorrow? What corps are going to have to throw down or go home? Will there be more flip flopping among the top 6? Who has the greatest chance of winning tomorrow night? Opinions please, again, no ranting about tonight's placing.... not again anyway
  13. this got me thinking, what old retired corps would you like to see return to the activity?
  14. I know its much more than winning, and I was just saying that in a topic, winning is not a must at all, I just want to march and get the experience, be able to bring a crowd to its feet and have people just say wow! But I'm naturally competitive, and was taught winning is everything, I know thats certainly not true, but one day, I hope to contend for one. But again, thats not the reason I would join, just to win. I'd go join something like football if that were the case .
  15. well my father lives in Madison Wisconsin, so that is convenient any where around there. But also I live near Allentown in Pennsylvania, so the cadets wouldn't be bad for location, but I'm thinking Midwest. I'll add blue stars and colts because I didn't know where they were located, but now I do.
  16. I'm 16 so I am just old enough, I am contemplating marching an open corps but still that would be difficult for location. I've marched with guards and winterguards for 4 years now. So what corps would I likely be able to get into with no previous dci experience? Don't get me wrong, I've been trained well and have been waiting a few years to be ready. And I have a love for it, but again, age and experience, so I don't know the odds, but getting out there and auditioning is my main goal. And I'd do anything to march.
  17. With the 2009 season coming up, I am thinking of auditioning for a corps. The problem is I don't know which one. I have narrowed it down to corps which would be ok because of location. Phantom, Cavaliers, Madison, Milwaukee, Cadets, Crusaders. But other than performance, and style, how do I go about making a decision of which one I should audition for? I cannot just audition for all of them, so how do I find out a corps personality and such?
  18. As will I, all corps in action, should be a blast. I'll be there both nights!
  19. I would have to say a ring, just cause I love winning too much but, nothing will ever compare to a show that captures the audience and they give you a reaction like no other. but after time passes, people forget about the show, and remember champions. and the tennis thing, I think it would be better to say "Would you rather be remembered for always putting up a great match that people enjoyed to see you play in, or win Wimbledon?"
  20. I completely agree, took them to a whole new level.
