  1. It has introduced me to many different cultures and attitudes, and I have learned so much from many people....it has also prepared me to join the military. Simple enough...
  2. I think would have lost it if it were nacho cheese and chili because for one, I hate cheese and the smell of it, and two, it would have probably been steaming hot!!! LOL...
  3. I guess I'm one of those morons. Anyway, the most annoying thing that happened to me is when I was watching a show in 2004 and some guy was trying to get back to his seat. He tripped and spilled all of his soda on my shirt. Luckily it was only the beginning of the show and I had a spare shirt in my car. So I just left, got that shirt and went back to the stadium and didn't miss a thing. See how easy that is, Mike?
  4. I never stated that I felt it was valid. I was simply commenting on it. Either way, I agree with your entire second paragraph.
  5. Maybe if you go back a few pages, you'll see that it was posted. And it's not hard at all. But most people are not going to wait for that, so I just don't see the point in getting all worked up because someone's talking during a performance. I know it's annoying, and trust me, I do agree with most of you guys who are bothered by it. But there is not much you may be able to do about it.
  6. Lol....I don't need to flash the finger to you because this debate is not really that serious. But if it works for you, that's fine.
  7. Okay, I won't tell you that you are overreacting, but don't call or you shouldn't call derrogatory names or make rude comments at the people who are doing the talking. I know it wasn't you specifically who made that statement, but when I made my comment, I wasn't talking to you specifically. So we can agree to disagree, how about that?
  8. Lmfao...that has already happened at finals in 2007, and people booed and all that jazz. But I didn't really let that bother me during the show. Like most of you said then, "people are entitled to say what they want" right? I believe there was a huge argument about that. Listen, I'm not trying to be condescending at all. The only point I am trying to make is that if it is okay to talk about drum corps during a show, which someone on here clearly stated was okay, then what is the difference if they talk about something else? If you are able to tolerate those people talking about drum corps during a show, then anything they talk about should be okay. It's either all or nothing. How can you be ###### off when someone is talking about something else during a show? And you know something, I'm willing to bet any amount of money that some of the same people who disagree with what I am saying are the same people who probably talk during a show, whether it's drum corps or what they had for dinner the previous night. Let's relax guys. I'm just here stating my opinion like most of you all. It's just a debate. I'm not gonna beat you guys up if you don't beat me up. Oh and by the way, what did you mean when you said "young one"?
  9. I'm not here to teach anything. I just think most people are overreacting with this argument. I'm able to tune people out when they are talking in any sort of environment, not just drum corps, but that's just me. And a drunk falling on me is totally different than someone talking during a drum corps performance. That person talking is not putting any of his body weight on me. If it is too much that you have to make a big deal about someone talking, then maybe you should watch drum corps on DVD instead of going to a public stadium where speech is normally free. Just saying, if it's really that much of a problem that you can't ignore the people around you, then there's a problem. An ice pick to the ear drums? That's really dramatic. I guess hearing people applaud during a show is like being stabbed to death.
  10. So as long as someone is talking about drum corps and nothing else, then all this is fine? What is the difference? They're still TALKING. You are still hearing their voices during a performance so it shouldn't matter what they're talking about. I think some people should just relax and learn how to tune people out and enjoy the show on the field.
  11. LMFAO... ...just goes to show Cadets can do nothing right in the eyes of some.
  12. I'm sorry but NO! There has to be TOTAL SILENCE for the INT. That's my most favorite drum corps.
  13. And this is exactly my point. I bring quite a few people to drum corps shows who have never seen drum corps. I tend do to a lot of explaining at those shows, but I also try to keep it quiet enough so that I don't disturb any of the other patrons. I also have the tendency to scream when I hear or see something I really like (especially when it's Cadets or Cavies). But If I have someone with me who is interested in drum corps shows, and they have questions about each show they've seen, I'm going to explain it to them, keeping in mind the other people around my trying to enjoy the show.
  14. Probably only for a second until those same people told you to go #### yourself and then continued their conversation.
  15. Thanks for coming to take a dump on yet another Cadets thread.
  16. It'd be nice to actually wait for the season to start before we start all these redundant narration arguments.
  17. Wow! If you think their book was hard, I'd really like to know what was the hardest music you've played. Seriously, Crown's shows have been EXCELLENT, but hard? I'd have to disagree passionately.
  18. Cadets played the music of Phillip Sparke and didn't use mics in 97. That show doesn't really cause a thread to be closed.
  19. This coming from some of the same people who said last year and a couple years ago that it's people's right to boo a show. People are gonna talk. You're not going to be able to shut them up so either learn how to tune them out, or deal with it. That's life. Get over it.
  20. Let's not hype the show up too much before the season starts. Don't want to be disappointed again. LOL..you know I'm just kidding. I'M PRETTY EXCITED ABOUT THIS SHOW TOO!!! Can't wait for the season to start.
