  1. I am looking forward to seeing what becomes of this show. Good Luck Cadets. Can't wait for 2008!!!
  2. I was thinking it was something with the DVD software so I tried two other different DVD software but it's doing the same thing on those as well.
  3. That's almost the exact same thing happening to me except I can play only the first corps of each DVD. Do you have a Sony Vaio computer? I really hope it's not the computer. I am gonna call DCI to see if anyone else has had this problem.
  4. I am playing the disc from my DVD player on my computer. I don't have a problem when I play it from my DVD player on my television. I am clicking on the corps I want to watch, and it jumps back to that FBI warning screen. I was thinking it was my computer that was the problem so I was gonna do a system recovery, but I wanted to see what you all thought before I did that.
  5. I am playing it from my computer. I said that in my post. Thanks anyway.
  6. Awww c'mon Mike, no need to go there. Seriously though, I can play any other year, but for some reason I can only play the first corps of each DVD from each year from 2005. Please help me if you can.
  7. You know I thought the same thing so I tried to play them with three different players, but it's doing the same on each player.
  8. I was wondering if anyone has been having problems with these DVDs. The problem that I am having is for some reason, I am only able to play the first corps on each DVD. For example, on the 2007 DVD, I am able to watch the Blue Devils on the DVD but when I play try to play Cadets, the DVD jumps back to the beginning (the FBI warning screen). This only is happening with the 2005-2007 DVDs. I am not sure if the problem is with my computer or the DVD. Is there anyone else experiencing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Wow, what a jerk. GH has done a lot for drum corps (broken record, I know, but so is this ####in flame bait crap!) and I for one would be sad to see him go.
  10. Nope. I played Soprano/Trumpet. What made you guess Baritone?
  11. Wow, I am surprised this show is being talked about this much. Marching that show was great, but that was one of the worst years I'd ever marched drum corps. A lot of it was behind-the-scenes stuff. But the music was pretty good I guess. Didn't really like the ballad though. 1998 Cadets' ballad was the best for me.
  12. Sacktig comes in definte 1st for me with Gaines a close 2nd. Jeff had those kids hauling ### this year. And the drill was VERY good this year.
  13. Ditto. The DVDs are good because you can usually catch something you missed if you saw the show live. I know I usually have to watch the DVDs 5 or 6 times before I catch everything. So I don't think the shows are getting too complicated. I think they are getting more entertaining.
  14. I don't think I'd say that, but I agree Cymbals in drum corps are a good thing. They do add effect and stuff like that, but I like them in the pit I guess.
  15. Okay, I see your point, but bass lines have more difficult parts from what I've seen. I guess I need to check out the lines from before I marched to see what you are talking about though.
  16. You guys may hate me for this but honestly, I am not a big fan of cymbal lines on the field. If I were a drummer, I wouldn't want to march around carrying cymbals all day. I mean all they do is crash crash crash. It's like having a brass instrument playing one note throughout an entire show. At least now that they are in the pit, the pit players have more than just that instrument to play. I have to say though I do like SCV's cymbal line. I hope I am not offending anyone with my opinion because I don't mean to. Just how I feel. To each his own though.
  17. You know I remember before the season started in 2000, George Hopkins said to us that this would be the most talked-about show of that year and maybe for a long time. Even though there are lots of disagreements on this thread of the most entertaining show, it feels great that seven years later, this show is still one of the most talked-about shows ever. You guys made my day. Thanks!!!! :)
  18. Sorry, I couldn't hear the emotion or inflection of your voice to be able to tell.
  19. I thought it was the Sammy Sosa thing too, but apparently it's a "gang sign". I'll have to tell Karen about that the next time I see her.
  20. I think Madison 99 was more entertaining. In fact, there were some shows we had with Madison where it seems they got more of a crowd response than we did.
  21. Crown's show was one of the greatest shows I've seen in a while, but while that's the case, I hardly believe it would get a higher vote. Nevertheless, Crown had me out of my seat the entire time.
