I wish everyone who marches drum corps could feel what I felt that season. -
I thought it was FANTASTIC...kinda wish they hadn't replaced it.

Top 5 Spine-Tingling Moments of All-Time
2000Cadet replied to liebot's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Here's my .02 cents.... 1. The Cadets 2000...four count move into the wedge in clocks (the first two counts of silence, and then the last two counts of everyone screaming before we hit the big chord), and then catching a glimpse of the crowd with all the cameras flashing. One of the best moments of my life as a marching member. 2. The Cadets 2000 (again)....the last three sets of the closer including the box Z-pull, catching another glimpse of the crowd jumping out of their seats and throwing babies at us. 3. The Cadets 2000 (again)...beginning of the season show we had in Bloomington, IL where all the band kids were literally out of their seats cheering for the entire show, and we hadn't even gotten done with the opener before that all started. This is the point where I knew the show would be special. ----as you probably figured out, these are the moments I marched. 4. The Cadets 1998...The Ballad (Canterbury Chorale), one of the most BEAUTIFUL ballads in the world wonderfully played by The Cadets...best part is at the climax and the long chord...and then where the entire hornline releases on time and a huge echo was heard throughout the stadium..I almost jumped out onto the field for that. 5. The Cadets 1997...The end of the opener where everyone is running all over the place. Nail-biting moment there...I think I was out of my seat just looking to see if anyone was going to fall or get run-into. .....just my .02 cents...... -

2000Cadet replied to play4passion's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
This last post was incorrect. I completely misunderstood what George said. BUT STILL, I am sure this'll be one of the best Cadets' shows EVER!!!! GO CADETS!!!!!! ....yet again...another of my .02 cents..... -

Okay, sorry, my mistake.....but I am sure if he DOES include narration in this years show, it'll still be one of the best shows ever. .....just another of my .02 cents again..... -
cadets 2007 show title?

AGAIN, I believe George Hopkins stated this year's show would not feature any narration of any kind. So can we PLEASE stop beating a dead horse already? .......and again, that's just another one of my .02 cents...... -

I'm really curious as to why everyone is STILL talking about narration when it comes to The Cadets show this year. They already stated they wouldn't have that in the show this year. GIVE IT A REST!!!! .....just my .02 cents by the way.... -

Like my favorite ballad of all time....."Canterbury Chorale 'Stonehenge 98'" This brings me to tears almost everytime I hear or watch it on the DVD. I hope The Cadets have something like that. -

Sounds like 2000 Cadets don't you think? B) -
I don't care what anyone says. The Cadets WILL be ON POINT this year. I have faith in them.

OMG!!!!! MY ALMA MATER IS BACK!!!!! I can't wait to they come to the West Coast this summer. I will be at EVERY SHOW. Seriously though, I am really looking forward to seeing what they do with this show. I am rooting for the ALL THE WAY!!!! -
Duly noted. But still, I am VERY EXCITED that The Cadets are going back to the original uniform. That's the uniform that made me join and I hope the future Cadets look at that uniform the way I did when I was growing up.
-
Tell that to the Westpoint graduates.
-
Actually, I don't think we looked awful. That uniform is one of the greatest uniforms of the activity. And personally, I would much rather see things tucked in and look tight as opposed to seeing things hanging off like the cross-belt looked. But hey, this is now a mute point as The Cadets are going back to the ORIGINAL uniform.
-
WELL SAID!! I can't wait to see a show again where when you see The Cadets coming at you, they look as if they are ready for war!!!

I'm a little new here so I am not sure if this is a good post or not... I was wondering if there is anyone who lives between San Diego and Los Angeles who will be going to Finals in Pasadena next year. I live in San Diego and would like to go, but none of my friends like drum corps so I was hoping to find some people who'd like to go.

1998 Crossmen... Wow I remember performing that show. It was cool.

This is the first time I've seen this site and I am amazed that people are still talking about our show. Thanks a lot guys. That means a lot. Anyway, enough of the tears...but I'd have to say that as much as I loved our show in 2000, I'd have to show people Cadets 1998, especially the ballad...Canterbury Chorale. That piece brings tears to my eyes everytime I watch the DVD. -

Regardless of whether or not he stole it, the music brings back a lot of memories of my last drum corps season with The Cadets.
