I'm saddened by it because I discovered the activity so late, and 3 years isn't enough for me. I wish I could've had a fourth so I could gain more...but, I'll just have to make the best of the years I do have left!

I never had to worry about blisters...but I did have to worry about ingrown toenails...even after trying to get them surgically removed they came back and bled all the time and were always infected, no matter how many times I tried to cut the nail. Ohh...so much fun.

I used to always put on deodorant after a show along with some perfume. Now every time I use the deodorant or the perfume it brings me back to those sweaty, smelly buses instantly.

I've only worn the grip gloves, so I couldn't tell you whether I like the fabric or grip better, but the grip gloves work fine for me. It makes me think I have more control over my instrument at least, haha.

I went back to college marching band, I'm lucky I'm a part of a great organization so it wasn't a massive change. But, most the comments I got were that I was much thinner (about 20lbs) and a lot bulkier (since I'm a girl and carried around a contra all summer). The thing that killed me though was the breaks. I'd be ready to go back out in 30 seconds, and people were just walking to the sidelines, takin' a seat, eating some food...we had like 7 minute 'water' break, I was driven crazy!

Did it in Tucson, AZ...our youngest was 11 and our oldest was 80! We had about 110 people there!

My high school was about 700, plus 135-150 for the band camp.
