  6. Thank you Jean. I still remember your incredible solo in Jezebel with the LaSalle Cadets!!! You were one of my inspirations to keep practicing...and practicing. Merci!!!
  7. I was caught in the vortex of a perfect storm...significant (for my family) birthday, 40th anniversary, AND daughter's wedding reception. i may have been able to blow off one, or maybe even two of them, but definitely not all three!!!
  8. I'm sure that we all agree that all of the corps will continue to work their respective butts off between now and Labor Day weekend and the crowd will be in for a real treat. Let's hope that all of the corps get their programs to be as excellent as possible and then let the judges figure things out. And then, we all can complain how the judges got it wrong again!!!...lol
  9. You area good son Timmy, but call your father Dad, please!!!!
  10. Blue Devils wore gray (grey) shoes one year.

  12. As my good friend Bobby DeNiro used to always say to me...never be a name-dropper!!! And as I remember, Miles Davis used to say the same thing to me.
  13. Cat Boatman did a great job on the video. I nominate her for rookie of the year!!!!
  14. Glad to see that Kris has picked up the slack left behind by Ryan Codd. Must be Ghostriders are working him too hard to keep this post on the first page. Good man Kris and Ryan....you're in for some heavy B.E. this weekend!!!
  15. Just downloaded from iTunes...great album. You sound great Joe but we knew you would. I love that the album is such a melange of styles, idioms, and technical virtuosity. There isn't another album quite like this in any genre. Bravo!
  16. Excellent choice. Mark will give you an excellently written and very competitive visual program. All in DCA better take notice of this excellent decision. I agree with my brother Tommy...this is "finalist" level decision making!!! Good luck Mark and MCL.
  17. Good idea, Kenny. Just remember, that's how Sal Chimera got his start. It all started innocently enough but then it just escalated!!!! LOL
  18. I nominate Roland Garceau- MacArthur Park- Brgadiers 2001 And Mike DiMeo- 1997 Brigs- "It's Alright With Me"
  19. I know that I'll be there tomorrow and it would be great if Donny, Timmy and Tommy were there also!!!
  20. This is especially sad given the influence that Chuck Mangione and Gerry Niewood had on the drum corps community. Think of all of the corps that played Echano, Legend of the One-Eyed Sailor, Chase the Clouds Away, Bellavia, Land of Make Believe and on and on...Gerry Niewood was a big part of the sound. May he rest in peace!!!
