Nope

Correct answer but - 1979 North Star or 1978 Crossmen come to mind as well.

I think basically everyone who is against electronics is going to be doing that. Madison just happens to be the first to announce that they are looking for a synthesizer player. I am a Madison fan, and although I haven't soiled myself over this I was surprised. I thought they might not go this direction since they never jumped on the narration bandwagon. It's not the end of the world. I'm sure Madison will incorporate the synthesizer tastefully and sparingly.

What Do Kids Buy While On Tour?
BigSnareline replied to Getintoyourcolor's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Man, I thought I was well equipped on tour when I marched. I had clothes, drumsticks, a sleeping bag, a pillow, and a 1 inch foam pad to put under the sleeping bag. I even managed to pack a Buddy Rich practice pad in my suitcase.... -
Is Drum Corps still a youth based activity?

If I were half my age I'd be aging out this next season.... Yes - It's still a youth activity. This thread is absurdbbbb.... -
Opportunities Missed with the pit amped
BigSnareline replied to crfrey71's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
I thought the reason for using pit amps was to allow the musicians to play with proper form instead of pounding the keys like before. This should have also allowed for a smaller pit. I would think that 6 or 7 people in the pit would be adequate these days. OK - add one more for the stupid synthesizers... -

Here's an insider preview. -
All 150 spots are open, including the drum major and back-field conductor. All veteran members are required to audition. Along with typical positions, we are seeking an experienced synthesizer player for this season. If you are interested, please contact Corp Director Dann Petersen. Man, I was really hoping they would resist going in this direction. They didn't hop on the narration train and that made me happy. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that they don't screw up a good thing by using a synth.

Cadets Announce A Season Of Celebration

I was thinking pretty much the same thing. It would be refreshing to see the cadets without any amplified voice again. I really hope they leave the electronic instruments out as well. -
Which show would you conduct...

1999 Madison Scouts or 1979 North Star. My two favorites. -

A meme (pronounced /miːm/)[1] consists of any idea or behavior that can pass from one person to another by learning or imitation. Examples include thoughts, ideas, theories, gestures, practices, fashions, habits, songs, and dances. Memes propagate themselves and can move through the cultural sociosphere in a manner similar to the contagious behavior of a virus.
