  1. Just spreading the word - we have to compete with the Friday night of Allentown which is a bummer
  2. From Madison's wall - "ROUND 3 - OLD SCHOOL CHALLENGE - Nice work Scouts fans. I think we got them on their heels with a nice upper cut to the chin. Scouts=$3044 vs. Crusaders=$2650. But don't get complacent, I suspect our Boston counterparts are going to try and pull a Rocky-like come back." We have been knocked down before! Remember when one of us is down, the call goes out for "Saders!"
  3. From the Boston Crusaders command center: We are proud to be returning for the fifth year to Veterans Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, MA. 8. Red and Black, I think the jump was because of Ghost encouraging words!
  9. After a couple of great rehearsal days in Kansas, the Corps is in Oklahoma, practicing this morning, laundry this afternoon and a show tonight! Good to hear that a couple of alumns stopped by!
  10. Ghost, please make like your name and disappear. You disgust me and anyone else that cares about the corps and actually does something to help. You have done zero accept offer critical selfish points of view and opinions. I know who you are and you know who I am. Cease and resist!
  11. I understand that the same person/resource that works on the DCI web items also works for the Blue Devels. Not sure how differnet the underlying structure of the DCI platform is to the BD media box.
  12. Update from Jason Rinehart (Brass staff) Update from yesterday's rehearsal in Kansas - Didn't get to use the pool, but had a great night last night at Wheat Street Pizza! They stayed open for all of the kids and staff to come over after the run thru and eat pizza and hang out. Also there is a yummy sno-cone place behind there that also stayed open late for us! What a great ending to a great rehearsal day!
  13. The Crusaders have a couple of rehearsal days at Pittsburg State University in Kansas. They are rehearsing in the stadium, great place to work things from the top!
  14. From Matt Winans (guard caption head and designer) Great show kids!!!
  15. Looking forward to seeing the Corps in Minnesota after 3 days of rehearsal! Keep up the good work, the corps is getting cleaner (just watched the Video on Demand from Indiana) and I know the planned changes and further show development will be a big plus over the coming weeks!
  16. We have thousands who contribute to Drum Corps and it is a charity from a giving perspective. Every charity has expenses and revenues and I believe Drum Corps is a good cause. At the Bristol show, the announcer - Paul Cain mentioned that it is all to often that we read about the terrible things that some youth get involved with, but rare that we read about what our "Drum Corps" kids do. Our kids can make a choice and the ones that choose Drum Corps make a great one! We may have our differences of beliefs on the state of the activity but one thing remains constant - our kids are involved with a positive and fulfilling experience. We are not trying to cure something but help sustain a positive character building experience.
  17. From the Crusaders FB and Web site: Thank you! Congratulations - WE did it! The cornerstone of the success and perseverance of our 70 year history is rooted in the dedication and commitment of our alumni, friends and supporters. Combine this with the advent of social media and the connection of thousands of people who care, it made for an incredible and exciting 72 hours! We extend our sincerest appreciation to everyone! All totaled, there were TEN drum and bugle corps awarded the gift from Chase. We helped each other in a time of need and relied on those who support the activity as a whole! This is what gives us strength and is another stirring example of the power of the collective! Congratualtions and thank you to our friends and colleagues at: Madison Scouts, Blue Stars, Bluecoats, Troopers, Spirit, Jersey Surf, Pacific Crest, Alliance, and Music City Legend! A job well done! What does $20,000 get you on the 2010 tour? -About a week of bus transportation -About two weeks of food for the corps -Almost one whole section of brass instruments (excluding contras!) This is a big help in addition to all of our ongoing fund raising activities! For a link to the story: http://www.bostoncrusaders.com/index.php?o...s&Itemid=13
