The dwindling number of active corps has not caused a downturn in the quality of the top corps. If a corps has earned the right to be a finalist you shouldn't keep them out just because there are fewer groups below them in the standings.

That is something that has had me very unhappy since the change was announced. I am aging out this year and was very much looking forward to having my last performance in such a great venue and to be part of the very first event. I really think the city may have had a hand in it with their backwards way of telling the local news about the change before ever telling DCI. Seems a rather ugly thing to pull after making such a big deal about DCI moving everything to Indianapolis including the World Championships, which will surely bring in a massive amount of cash to the city.

Could we possibly see Blue Stars in finals for the first time since 79? I say yes. From what I saw, and more importantly heard tonight, this is looking like it's going to be one of my favorite shows this year.

Only 30 or so people in my theater. Sound was way too low. To be honest I thought it sounded quieter then they usually run regular movies at. Everybody was pretty polite. Only real applause came after Crown.

I'm actually taking my boss with me. He has no clue what drum corps is and doesn't get it when I try to explain it. Hopefully this will help him understand why I have to take a 2 1/2 month vacation this summer.
