  1. Good to see Glassmen are still keeping close to the competition above them. 2.9 spread between the Ohio teams? Nice!
  2. Personally, if I had to choose between ring and jacket, I'd choose jacket. I suppose I'm just not a big jewelry fan.
  3. I am sure for the 130+ healthy members it was a normal rehearsal day. It's not like they just chilled all afternoon and evening.
  4. It should be interesting to see how Glassmen do after their flu bug ordeal. Best of luck to all the corps!
  5. People do that every show when their favorite corps didn't score well.
  6. I didn't mean that in a negative way. I really enjoy their show.
  7. Nothing beats the massive wall of fans in Bloomington last year.
  8. I was thinking Boston and Troopers, but ended up voting for Mandarins. They have an incredible show this year for a corps their size.
  9. Nice Job Glassmen! Keep raising that score! Show the world you are more than the usual Glassmen this year!
  10. uhh... percesion Is that supposed to be percussion?
  11. 2000 is a pretty decent amount. I don't remember about how many I saw in the stands last year.
  12. OMG Blue Coats is two words... Also, the top 12 scores resemble the top 12 scores in San Antonio this year... especially Blue Stars
  13. Unfortunately, judging doesn't work that way.
  14. Where are you sitting? Mine were $75. I thought the highest was $100...
  15. Apparently nobody is in Louisiana today. How disappointing.
  16. If you can't find anything entertaining in today's corps, that's your problem. I don't know if your family agrees with you, or you're speaking for them, but I happen to know a lot of people that find a DCI show one of the most entertaining ways to spend an evening, worth every bit of a $25 ticket.
  17. Although the total number of corps is decreasing, to me it seems like the top twelve have been rather consistent in quality over the years. Plus, I want to see 12 corps when I go to Indy for finals. I would be disappointed if only 9 corps showed up.
  18. What's going on down on the field is fine young musicians playing music and marching, and color guards spinning flags, rifles, and sabers, and dancing. Same as it has been for a while now.
  19. There is a lot of bias on DCP, but I find it interesting that within the past two years there is not one corps that hasn't had a show I've liked. I'd say I try to be pretty objective.
  20. I've always been more of a contrarian myself...
  21. I personally give the judges props for not scoring Phantom high just because they are Phantom and they won last year. I think the general consensus among everyone is that Phantom is not on par with their first place finish last year, nor their fourth place finish the year prior for that matter. Ultimately, your opinion of a corps is yours and yours alone. For instance, Santa Clara Vanguard's show last year was one of my favorites of the year, and one of my favorite offerings from SCV in the past few years. It doesn't really matter to me that they ended in 7th. It's always important to remember that corps aren't necessarily ranked from most enjoyable to least enjoyable. For you Phantom's show is just as enjoyable as ever. Also, if your listening to Phantom's music, you're listening to top six music. It's the visual program that's killing them.
