At this point everyone is watching these videos over and over. We can find every great moment and disect it, we can find every bad transition and point it out. They are the only group attending national who are not up for all to see. Just seems to me like it levels the playing field no matter how you slice it. I have also heard a rumor again the word is RUMOR that Aimachi was asked to submitt a video for evaluation to a judging panel. IF this is the case even more reason why they should post that same video on the Fans Network. Please do misunderstand me! I love them and can't wait to see them but it only seems fair.

Seems to me in all fairness they should be posting a video on the Fans Network just like every other colorguard competing in IW. IMO they have an unfair advantage with no one having seen them until prelims. Having said that I can't wait to see them!!!

I bet you are right about the rounds and how it will work out on who gets in, in regards to performance time. I think Seminole is in for sure after that I think it will be Americas or Riverbank.

Those last three spots in SW are up for grabs as best I can tell. There's about 6-7 guards trying to get them. I would consider Northview to be one of them. I wouldn't count Shen out just yet. We'll have to see how the next regional goes for them. Plus do not forget Americas they are still riding on a week 1 score I'm sure Mike Gaines and the rest of the staff has plans. Seminole is strong also. Riverbank just got a great number. Those last spots are any one's guess.

I love NEI I think they can take the gold. They have grown soooo much over the years. My fingers are crossed.

I think SW holds many surprises this year for quite a few groups.

I will agree Tarpon was great, they looked to me like they would have been better suited to be competing in SW. The members are strong and so is the design. Out shining a couple of groups that were there in SW.

I have spun this new rifle, it is light without the weight system. I recogmend you get the weight system also. I have tried and tried to break mine it can not be done. I have even thrown it at the parking lot where we practice. They come in colors also! The catch noise is louder than wood. As with anything new it will take some getting used to but to have a rifle last you for years is a great concept! Where I live it is very cold and the plastic doesn't seem to hurt as much when you catch solid in the cold. I am a fan.

I agree 100% about Logan. They are one of the ONLY groups this year taking a different approach. So many of Scholastic Wolrd teams seem to be doing similar shows with similar soundtracks. I admire them for going a different route. For me, Win, Lose or Draw for Logan they will stand out in a year full of sameness.

Have you watched them on Fan Network yet? It's my only view of them and it was only ok for me. Is something getting lost in translation? I hope so I really want to be in love with them like I have for the past two years.

I could not agree more!! The soundtracks so far are not much fun to listen to. Dare I say I'd rather more guards use the same great sound track in a season then everybody try to find one no one will use if it is not interesting to listen to. I'll take 5 Wild Horses over 2 obscure pieces that sound like a dentist drill. Rule of thumb for me is if I can't listen to it in my car over and over again I do not want to hear it over and over again in a gym. IMHO

Yes rehtorical! Not my favorite style of music for shows.

From the early views on the fan network it seems to be the world class is having a concerto/classical kind of year. Mostly in scholastic world. What are you gonna do? I thought the SW soundtracks from Ohio/Indiana were fairly similar.

Okay for me the surprise of the weekend was Seminole!! Those girls are no joke!! The all rifle section!! WOW!! I love the way the flats re-structure the stage. Not to mention all flag at the end I think there were about 100 girls out there. DO NOT let their in my opinion "too low" score fool you. They were one of the guards effected negativley by the "rouge" equipment judge. I look forward to seeing how they will shake things up in Orlando.

I just got mine it looks like it will be better than REPLAY. More past guards are available. Just think if you went to all those regionals there would be, plane fares, food, hotel and tickets to get in plus the seduction of all those t-shirts. WHAT A DEAL!!

I think Taravella is laying kinda low this season. I do not think it is an issue within the program though. The rumor mill is that they focused on the parade and now will enjoy a low key season that is focused on training not competitive. I don't think they are even doing nationals this year, but I'm not sure.

Personally I like your review it wasn't mean but it wasn't all gushy either. Maybe you just like a style over a different one, please keep reviewing they are fun to read.
