  1. The Director of the Rocky Mountain Thunder is a rookie Director. This is a cool Idea to see who may be in the rookie of the year running
  2. I agree that Madison & Troopers are two corps that kind of died off. As an old Trooper I am glad that they are on the way back. After the year off & then last years bounce back I think they are on the move up. Mr jones was a great drill man & Percussion Instructor even though someone else was the percussion instructor he still would get involved with the percussion line. It is real hard to view the Troopers without Mr. Jones on the sidelines & following the corps in his Winebego, drum practices on the Bego during road trips. I think that after every corps looses its mainstay in directors they have a falling, But these two have fallen off along way. Spirit of JSU (i still want to call them Spirit of Atlanta) has not been the same for a few years now & I,m glad to see the Blue Stars on the surge.
  3. Yea I have to agree with your list, I marched in the 1982-83 Troopers & it was a big disapointment for us to not make finals.1983 was our 25 year anniversary We even did an exibition for finals & a Big portion of our corps had already left to go home with parents or vacation so the show wasn't the greatest but we enjoyed that year very much. I also would have to put in the Bluestars, Gaurdsman, Northstar in 1981 & around that same era. They always gave us a fight at every show.
  4. R.M. Thunder took a big drop, OOOUUUCCCHHH!!!all the way from 3rd to 31st. More HARD WORK ahead!!!!

  6. Rocky Mountain Thunder is informed that the assistant corps director ( daughter of Thunders Director) is leaving & forming her own corp the new PINK ANGELS. They have been accepted into Division 2. Even though they will recieve a penalty for every show, she is enthusiastic about their show & the future of this new organization. She will post more details later. Good Luck PINK ANGELS
  7. I'm not drummerdude, but I was a member of the Troopers from 1980-83. Marched bass drum #5. had a great time mr.
