  1. Great audience in Hornell and...........they liked us, they really liked us. Nice tune up for Waterloo and Annapolis.
  2. Great show everybody. So what else is new? What a way to start the 2011 season. Anyone looking for a weak performance this early in the season must have been pleasantly surprised. Hat's off to old time drumcorps and those who work so hard to preserve it. Thanks to all performers and audience alike for making this last Serenade more than just an ordinary swan song.
  3. Hi Tom: We have modified our look to "Millie/Modern. Started with red T shirts, white baseball caps and white gauntlets and gloves five years ago. Graduated to real nice golf shirts and Aussie hats a year later. We will be adding corps purchased black uniform trousers with a gold stripe, (ala the old days) hopefully before this years' Christmas parades. Our website, www.militairesalumni.com is pretty good for a little parade corps and has a nice photo album accessible to the public from the main page. You will actually see the 'original' sea cadet corps in a 1950 pic. We still have one of the members who is in that photo with us today as our quartermaster. He marched until last year. The other photos show the red tunics and busby's and then the gay 90's uni's. The only one that is missing is the red satin Archie style shirts we wore in 1990 and 1991. On the last page of the album some of our history is shown in the display cabinet we were encouraged to build at our 'home away from home' RCL 479 in Niagara. Of course, we have another photo album under password protected members only section of the site. Use your imagination....... With a little luck old time drum corps never changes, we just get a tad older loving it. Thanks so much for your interest. If you get a chance, maybe you can catch a lift with Harold sometime and come up to see us.
  4. Hey Keith, thanks for the "good luck", sorry you seem to have something against glocks........ These musicians have saved our partially worn out lips and stamina on MANY more that one occasion since we got back at it in 2006. We march in parades from June to December and our average age this year is somewhere around 60. In the geographical area where we march, the length of the average parade is between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 miles. The glock section of our corps has also been highly instrumental in adding to the spirit of our organization. We are very proud of them. To keep up with current trends in drum corps, we are considering adding real keyboards and amplified sound in the next ten to fifteen years but we're not rushing into anything! In the meantime our instructors are working together to build on the strengths of all sections to assist us in fulfilling our aim and objective which is to have fun while entertaining parade goers of all ages as well as ourselves. With continued hard work and the addition of like-minded individuals The Militaires Alumni Corps should be around for many years to come.
  5. Hey Kevin thanks for the great reviews of the Alumni show. From what I read, you are just a young gaffer, or it could have been a slip of the keyboard, but Kenny Peterson's knickname has been "ACE" for like a hundred years. Keep up the good work.
  6. Do you still have the contras? How can I communicate further with you? Any problem shipping to Canada? Bill
  7. Bruce: When you gonna add your latest corps' affiliation to your list of credits?
  8. Happy Birthday Timmy. I heard your Dad was 50 when you were born! If that's true no wonder he looks so.................
  9. Hello People..................I thought you had to be over 65 to have your hip replaced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh yeah, I forgot. LOL Good luck Jimmy and come back dancin' soon.
  10. Do you really think rinsing out that old sop will help TF? Enjoy your session with HS on Saturday. PS, can I have the gunk you rinse out of your horn?
