  1. wow, that's insane. My condolences go out to his family and all his friends. I have only participated in DCA for one year, and in this year I met many people. Cozy, was in the top 3 of these people, as far as favorites go. I had the awesome opportunity to talk to him at several shows, and was also lucky enough to hang out with him in Rochester. He was an awesome person, and was willing to sit down and talk with any one. R.I.P Cozy, you will be missed.
  2. that's sounds like a sound reasoning. I'm glad someone agrees with me.
  3. Ike screwed me up financially for auditioning for an out of state corp :( Crossmen Auditioin info
  4. Something about nuthin but strings or however it is spelt just never sounds quite right to me. It always sounds a little off, tunning or the chords idk. I was wondering the same thing........... snare line sounded sloppy
  5. wow I feel really young reading alot of these. I heard of DCI two years ago. I went to DCI Southwestern championships in San Antonio in 07. I fell in love lol.
  6. Ronald Regan (sp?) HS has many crossmen staff members. They won BOA a couple years ago.
  7. Goo Gone usually works for snare heads, never tried it on bass drums.
  8. Some really good pictures throughout the contest. good work!
  9. Thank you to whoever came up with this idea. I was at a friends and they were knocking on DCA saying there is no way it could be good. So we got on here and watched some videos. to say the least they were very impressed and opinions were completely changed. This has happened several times. So keep up the good work!
  10. I live in houston. My family is from South East Texas. Maybe we could hang out sometime lol
  11. Keep trying it will work eventually. I was dealing with the same thing earlier. I ended up just heading to Austin just to get out of the chaos that is now known as Houston.
  12. Most of Houston didn't really get it to terrible. South East Texas got hit pretty hard . As for cell phone reception it's pretty much hit or miss.
  13. Blah blah blah. I slept through the hurricane while everyone else in the house was FREAKING out. Sleeping like a rock is becoming a habit I enjoy. I awoke to no electricity and no news. Then pictures began pouring in from people who stayed. Houses aren't gone like in Galveston, but full of water. My Aunts house has a good amount of water in it, and she has no insurance. Looks like I will be doing a lot of remodeling for her....eventually. We lost a storage shed filled with stuff in it. I personally had a good amount of stuff in it. My mothers house is fine other than wind damage, and so are my cars. We came out further ahead than many people. It seems that power will be restored in a minimum of 5 weeks, that is from entergy too :(. I am currently in Austin, without a car and my mom isn't allowing me to drive hers so I am going to be bored out of my mind! P.s. Thank you to everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers!
  14. best of wishes to every one else. I actually headed to Houston from Port Arthur as opposed to heading north or into Louisiana. I am more worried about my families house than anything from the storm surge. I think South East Texas, is sadly going to get it much worse than most other places. predicted storm surge. watching the graphic takes a minute because it is over today and tomorrow. There is a clock in military time on it. ftp://ftp.tpc.ncep.noaa.gov/surge/Latest/i46_bp3.gif as the crow flies were a little over two miles from that lake. (I'm not sure why the image is so small) that x type thing is roughly where my families house is. hopefully the surge isn't as high as they predict. We shall see.
